The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

Does Sally Yates have a job in the government but just not the AAG title/responsibility?

Essentially, America, you're going where Russia has gone. Putin, who is greatly admired by Trump and his crew, showed that it is fairly easy to convert a democracy to a 'hybrid system' -- one which still has the shop-window appearance of democracy, but is in fact an authoritarian state.

That's where you're going.

I would be ecstatic if the big SCOTUS reveal got no coverage outside of Faux News, but I realize I'm tilting at windmills there.

He's going to interrupt The Wall on NBC, so at least that little joke should get some play.

For God's sake, #schumerfaketears is not anti-Semitic.

If he said, "my grandparents survived the holocaust as refugees to America I want to save the Syrians, *tears*" that would be totally different.

Senator Schumer's great-grandmother and 7 of her 9 children were murdered by the Nazis.

Your ability to know his tears are fake is impressive.

Bannon probably gave him the line and Trump didn't even understand.
01-31-2017 , 03:30 PM
I think Trump is just being his normal bullying self. It's possible too much credit is given for him to actually have that construct in his head where this was about Schumer's great grandparents. He saw tears and decided to bully someone that disagrees with him. He does this to everyone including McCain and Graham lately too as long as they disagree with him.

I love how Spicer is explaining the ban stating that in some instances "the countries dont have the systems in place or willingness" to vet travelers coming from their country.

Well no doubt these systems will be built, especially in the unwilling countries, before the 120 day ban is lifted...

Just no doubt in my mind at all this ban gets lengthened.

Guys give awfal a break. He's probably 5 rum punches deep by now while making sand angels and didn't have time to double check the list of Holocaust victims for any of Schumer's relatives.

I think this is loosely true, the problem for Trump and co is that Russia has never known true democracy and has a cultural tradition of authoritarianism.

I think project do it like Russia will fail and Trump will never get close to the approval numbers needed to maintain a DILR system.

lol I didnt know Bannon had actually called Trump a "blunt instrument, for us".

And people are making a cult out of his puppet. SAD!

these next 4 years will be a valuable lesson to the american people. elections matter, not voting matters, it all matters. The good thing about being an american is knowing that this too shall pass, and in 4 years his bull **** will be sent out the door with him.

Well, murdering the families of terrorists was one of his campaign promises, I guess he's making good on that.

You should probably stop thinking like this. Four years is a long time for Trump (and co) to build enough support and suppress enough opposition to maintain power for awhile.
