The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

That video's incredible.

Finally, the good twitter Q&A thread on exec privilege. https://twitter.com/EricColumbus/sta...08790754848768

Now TRUMP just got owned hard on CNN.

"The President said it's a hoax 7 times. I went on Snopes and checked it out." *Reads all the hoax statements and tweets.* "The guy's a genius. We're lucky to be led by a genius. He clearly knows more than 97% of the scientists on the planet."

It's paraphrased and I forgot the rest. But yeah, sick stuff. Of course Jason Miller came right to Trump's aid after this.

The question needs to be asked until Spicy pulls a water gun from the podium and starts blasting journalists:

"If there was truly no collusion, if this is really a 'fake news' story, why is the President considering invoking executive privilege to prevent Comey from testifying?"

Ask no other questions, ever, until you get a straight answer to this one.

That this even would be possible... on the other hand... it is nothing compared to him firing Comney for leading the investigations.

It would be the worst decision Trump ever makes among a series of horrible decisions that he has already made.

Pretty easy to practice damage control if Comey testifies. Reps just ask him about leaks, e-mails, and Benghazi before ending the hearing. If he's prevented from testifying, he has a huge special interview on [insert news station here] and spills the beans with fewer restrictions.

Suspicious. I think they're banking on Rosenstein's testimony contradicting or blunting the information Comey brings to light, thus sewing confusion and discord among the IC which Trump perceives as his enemy. Methinks they will be severely disappointed.

Could also be that they need to find out information that they can feed to whoever the new FBI director is going to be. After all, gotta get a Trump loyalist who will spin the truth on board fast.

We need to learn that Trump and his attorney are whispering in peoples's ears and pulling strings from the seat of the presidency. That should look good to Mueller and the FBI.

Seeing a lot of chatter today claiming Bannon and Kushner hate each other

Drudge appears to have sided with Da Kush

Is this going to be behind closed doors? Could be trying to generate leakable contradictions to what Comey says.

I'm under the impression that the people in the administration who are clean (comparatively speaking) are possibly keeping their jobs knowing that their replacement will a boot-licking Trump love who will do anything he tells them to.

A tyranny is forming under our noses. It seems that most Americans either:

A) Want a tyrannical regime

Or

B) Are incredibly arrogant and think that a regime will never form until it does and becomes too powerful to stop through non-violent means

This Russer thing with TRUMP and Russer is a made up story.
06-02-2017 , 09:14 PM
Are any right wingers speculating that Comey is going to say that Trump never told him to stop investigating Flynn and he doesn't have any contemporaneous memos of their meetings? Seems logical if you believe Trump over unnamed sources close to X.

This is an uninformed conspiracy theory. Who is doing this? What is the evidence?

Screw you Kathy Griffin. Don't get up there and blubber your way through an apology, own it and move on. Nothing I hate worse than people making a mistake and bitching about it while apologizing.
06-02-2017 , 10:19 PM
Yea Griffin doesn't look good. She should have stood behind the photo shoot. It was stupid to do it in the first place but once you do it, stand behind it. She could have said stuff like "It's interesting the same people outraged at me had no problem voting for the guy that said it's OK to grab me by the pussy."

I do my best when watching these things to try to do so through the eyes of an idiot trumpkin. I think the idiot trumpkin just sees a guy making a bunch of ad hominem attacks and disregards the whole thing.

Watching it is somewhat cathartic, but I think it accomplished approximately nothing.

What she's really sorry and crying about is the irreparable damage she just did to her career and endorsements.

Not saying it's a good trait, but one thing that seems to have worked out very well for the right over the years is that they own what they say and rarely apologize for it! Does the GOP apologize for throwing 23M people off of healthcare? Do they apologize for untold suffering their policies will inflict on their fellow Americans? Do they apologize for taking education and science backwards and not caring about the environment? No. Didn't Ted Nugent threaten Obama's life (or come close to it)? Did he ever apologize for that?

What Griffin did was stupid. And she knew it (I think there's audio of her saying this will end my career during the shoot!). Any time you even joke about holding the bloodied severed head of the president of the United States you're gonna be in trouble at least from the Secret Service. But for Christ's sake own it. Explain why you did it and why you thought it part of your comedic art, instead of crying on video over how you just ruined your career, which is almost certainly the only thing she's really sorry about.

Which is why we have the most unfit person ever to hold the presidency. But here's the thing. It's true that coal miners are a small minority of jobs right now and the real money is in renewable energy. I'm willing to talk and have a respectful conversation with just about anybody, but I'm at a point where I just don't care what these people think. They're just DEAD WRONG! America had a choice. To be leaders and exporters in renewable energy or cling to 19th technology. The future isn't gonna stop for coal miners and those in steel. Now we just gave China and other countries to take over the lead in setting the benchmarks for the future while we remain mired in old tech.
