Republicans mostly support staying in, a fair amount support leaving and a fair amount are totally indifferent. Independents overwhelmingly support staying in. Democrats almost unanimously support staying in.

Hardly anyone is going to change their vote for POTUS over this one thing, but it's a loss for Trump.

Ummm... don't put dumb **** on Facebook. Don't hold an effigy of the President's bloody decapitated head during a photo shoot. Don't make jokes about bombs on airplanes. It's like some people are ****ing ******ed and don't realize there are consequences to social media posts.

"“There was serious consideration by the White House to*unilaterally rescind the sanctions,” said Dan Fried, a veteran State Department official who served as chief U.S. coordinator for sanctions policy until he retired in late February. He said in the first few weeks of the administration, he received several*“panicky” calls from U.S. government officials who told him they had been directed to develop a sanctions-lifting package and imploring him, “Please, my God, can’t you stop this?”

Fried said he grew so concerned*that he*contacted Capitol Hill allies — including Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md., the ranking minority member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee — to urge them to move quickly to pass legislation that would “codify” the sanctions in place, making it difficult for President Trump to remove them."

Doesn't the House Ethics Committee investigate itself, with the worst actual punishment being like a censure or some bull****?
06-01-2017 , 07:59 PM
These guys didn't treat Congressional investigations with any seriousness while they were going after political rivals under Obama, don't think they're gonna all of a sudden grow a conscience and realize that this stuff matters. They will obstruct in the most blatant and partisan ways possible until they lose election or Paul Ryan removes them from the committee (ha).

In further troll news:

California Governor Jerry Brown said on Thursday he will discuss merging carbon trading markets in his state and China when he travels to Asia later this week, a sign of the governor's ambition to influence global climate change policy.

Would depend on the specifics. Also, apparently CA, WA, NY and other states are looking to form alliance to meet Paris goals. Likely permissable, depending on the specifics.

Sure. Being nice makes the job easier.

They don't even call them interrogations since that word sounds too ominous. Rather, they call them "interviews" figuring that people would be more at ease with that word.

But I still don't go in there without a lawyer. I mean what if the person was there? You think they just have a friendly conversation? They were probably looking for any excuse to arrest that person.

---------------------------------

This hits home for me because I've had to deal with CBP when entering and exiting America several times due to being an American with dual nationality living abroad. Every time it's been cordial and brief but still annoying. However, I can imagine this becoming more and more of a burden in the future if these flight restrictions become more unreasonable.

I wish the Russia stuff wasn't true so that we could focus on healthcare or whatever but there is so much smoke coming off of it it's like Trump lit a tire fire at the White House. I mean, come on, meeting with Russians that no one can remember, Trump almost unilaterally relieving sanctions, giving back the Russian spy centers without anything in return, obstructing the sh*t out of every investigation...
