The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

It's no coincidence that a guy like Trump won the R nomination and not a guy like say Mitt Romney who would've stayed in this deal. That is the soul of the Republican party speaking its voice right there.

Not sure how accurate this is, but on Twitter people are saying that the US can't withdraw from the Paris Accord until November of 2019.

If that's the case, why the **** is Trump doing this now?

Lol Lloyd ****ing Blankfein joins twitter today just to **** on Trump

Another report is that it's a non-binding agreement and the only point of withdrawing is rolling coal.

They cannot officially withdraw until November 4th, 2020 which is one day after the next Presidential election. Pretty amazing.

Yea, so what is up w/ that? Is Trump actively trying to not get re-elected? If he loses, he can claim it was rigged.

This Paris Accord better be #1, #1A, #1B for the Democratic nominee in 2020 election.

Trump and the rest of the GOP are actively signaling that the voters don't matter. Look at the RepubliCare bill as well. This suggests that they are intending to win the 2018 elections through massive subversion of the democratic process, like massive voter suppression, rather than through being more popular.

there are a lot more americans in favor of the paris accord than there are republicans and democrats

not all republicans are ******ed

Trump lost no votes, Americans don't care about global warming. It sounds nice but they just don't. They care about it as much as they care about the Middle East when push comes to shove.

And Lloyd Blankfein and the rest of the CEO/"elite" class attacking him for this is just going to further harden his base.

It won't stop the 51% from voting R anyway in 18. That's my point.

Over 70% of American support staying in the agreement.

51% of Republicans support staying in the agreement.

Only 26% of Republicans support withdrawing.

47% of Trump voters say we should participate and 28% of Trump voters say we should withdraw.

http://climatecommunication.yale.edu...ment_by_state/

This is unpopular with Republicans and 3% of Democrats support withdrawing so it's just lose lose for Trump.

Now most Trumpkins will fall in line, but this only hurts Trump, which may well make this withdrawal from a non-binding agreement worth it.
06-01-2017 , 06:50 PM
I'm sure if they would have just renamed it the Mar-a-lago Accord Trump would have stayed in.

# was like 22 R senators that openly supported it. It won't hurt trump at all, you forgot the support #'s of anything that causes liberal tears.

I cannot find any evidence of a single thing that Germany has done to benefit American citizens, much less for there to be massive panic about losing them as our "strongest ally".
There hasn't been too much warring in Europe since NATO was founded, and that's good for American companies that do business there.
