I also love how some of you guys think breaking an analogy is just pointing out one difference. The point is that stopping some tiny production of some very profitable good is never going to achieve anything.
Yes, the last sentence is true and what I'm talking about. Although, it's a crappier option because it's politically hard. It's better to actually make the alternatives cheaper, possibly with incentives, because dumb people don't realize the money is still coming from them - and because the burden falls more on the wealthy than the poor.
