The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

Agreed. Fading out of the limelight would be torture for him.

German intelligence just told the US "thx but no thx" about help safeguarding their upcoming elections.

This is just the beginning, right?

I give you a different take - he has achieved every narcissist's wet dream. He's managed to turn the topic of every single conversation in America at any given time back to himself. Look at any internet post or video in the last 6 months, and go look at the comments. It could be a video of kittens chasing yarn and in the first 5 comments will be some Trump/anti Trump blowup.

He'll never resign.
Resigning only happens if the GOP forces his hand by impeachment and then threatens to remove him from office. That will only happen if the people choose party over Trump.

No way he goes on his own accord.

We went through this before, no? At least I thought we did.

1) Implicated GOPers
2) 2018/20 elections
3) Agenda frozen too long
4) Trump losing base
And maybe
5) Pence gets 100% cleared by investigation(s)

EDIT: He could resign too IMO. Threat of bankruptcy, maybe the threat of prison for him or his family, forced to admit something he finds too humiliating, physical or mental ailments. Death.

He was just ardently anti Hilary. He's also an antisemite, so my guess is that it's less about supporting Bernie and more anti Hilary.

trump only spoke favorably of bernie in a weak attempt to court his most ******ed supporters on the basis that hillary scammed him and the enemy of my enemy is my friend type ****

Like re-run the tape here.

1. I post an article about the Portland GOP explicitly supporting these far right rallies and also calling for literal ****ing white supremacist militias to protect those rallies from antifa because they can't trust the police. That is NOT AN EXAGGERATION literally the description of the brownshirts.

2. Someone posts an article about the Jeff Sessions DOJ scaling back civil rights.

3. Lestat doesn't post an article. Lestat says "speaking of civil rights" the Portland mayor is trying to shut down the far right rally. But a keen eyed reader might have noticed no quotes from the Mayor appear in that post! They do appear in my article. (the conclusions we can draw about Lestat's Breitbart/Infowars intensive media diet are important but secondary). The rally isn't on city property, the mayor didn't do ****, he just asked them not to hold out of ****ing respect for the dead.

4. Clovis, inexplicably, goes to work rehabbing Lestat's dishonest argument to show off how much he Respects Opinions.

What the ****, dude?
These extremist "pro free speech" arguments strike me as akin to dems saying they need to make sure everyone gets a chance to vote. Then, when the GOP is in charge, poof.

I am all for free speech, these people can say and publish what they want, but the law is able to recognize pretexts, and when such "speech" is repeatedly shown as a thinly veiled cover for violence, they do not need to receive a permit. At least make then pay for extra cops or whatever. Extremism in defense of extremism is a vice.

Spicer putting off addressing their crises until the last possible second by first spewing out a burst of Trumpaganda.

Thi is an interesting article on Stephen Miller. http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/...e-donald-trump

It's not a Great article, but I regularly hear Trump echo Miller's "voice", so it's important to know the source. I'm semi-familiar with the culture that spawns Miller-type views (it's all over the internet), often among young-republican types in college. In fact, if Miller had 20 more IQ points and a better personality, he'd probably be Federalist Society approved Supreme Court material. There have to be some good "deep dive" articles that explore the toxic views of Miller and his kin, which are basically incoherent when you scratch the surface. He's like a Milo with slightly less baggage, who helps set White House policy and drafts important speeches ("American Carnage" being one example).

Its straight propaganda, you can tell even Spicer is uncomfortable reading it.

Man after all that time away from the podium, Spicey couldn't get his **** together? Looks like he is losing it.
05-30-2017 , 02:27 PM
Funny how it was so important for Kushner to help direct foreign policy during the transition when there were 1000 other things to do, including 90% of ambassador and State Dept. nominations, that still haven't been done yet.
05-30-2017 , 02:28 PM
Dubke showed Spicer that a man is capable of walking away from a **** job. Does he get it? He still may be employable somewhere. Hell, I'm sure he could get a $2M book advance tomorrow if he's willings to burn some bridges.
05-30-2017 , 02:30 PM
Spicy confirming the president's statements about "more dollars" on healthcare are meaningless
05-30-2017 , 02:32 PM
Fairly unbelievable?

That's how he would choose to describe their relationship? Is that because he's an idiot who doesn't understand words?
05-30-2017 , 02:33 PM
You can tell Spicer's days are numbered. There is something very different about his energy and tone.
05-30-2017 , 02:34 PM
I'm not gonna dignify that

Meaning he has absolutely no answer because he doesn't want to lie about it.

As far as I can see the guy was pro white and anti non-white, which was his motivation. That is the angle that these people seemed to have an issue with.
