It's almost like these idiots don't realize they are on the wrong side of history. Sally Yates is now synonymous with Susan B Anthony, Harriet Tubman, and Rosa Parks.
That depends on how you think the world will look in 100 years time.

Maybe Trump will be venerated as Big Brother #1 and Sally Yates will be the villain.

Perhaps, but I don't think so. Because she was fired, Yates is now free to tell her side of the story. I'm sure a lot of details will be coming out in the next few days which will only infuriate Herr Trump.

I even agree, but Trump taking away guns from white people is enough for them to wake up. I am even optimistic enough that Trump taking away guns from an overly broad definition of brown people would be enough to upset white people.

LOL hell no. What do you think Trump means when he says he's going into Chicago to stop the carnage? It ain't to bust up family BBQ's.

Trumpkins AGREE with him on that.

I would argue that even to such Trumpkins, an EO explicitly to ban guns is different than martial law in Chicago.

Germany doesn't have single payer.

Sara Kendzior is the real deal. I'd give you links to her appearances on various political shows but I have no idea how to embed a Twitter or facebook video.

Gingersnaps is right. According to the Post, toddlers shot one person per week in 2016, mostly themselves. Most were not fatal. The Pulse shooting had 49 fatalities. Both are not significant causes of deaths and are weak arguments for the policies they're usually used to justify.

Originally, the White House had said that green-card holders would also be blocked from entering, but it reversed itself on Sunday under political pressure.
anyone feel like trump and bannon could be incompetent enough to not even realize the extra cluster**** they had created? Like they didnt even think about greencards while writing it up?

I'm vacillating between it being incompetence or a Head Fake for something more dastardly.

the part that talks about how people might just go back to work from protests and act like theyve achieved a victory of getting the green card muslims back rings pretty true and is the most scary to me. i hope people are smart enough to not get complacent

worst thing the ACLU could've done was post stuff like this:

https://twitter.com/ACLU/status/825564344247201792

You won about as narrow a stay (not even a result) as you could possibly have won. IOW, you haven't won jack. The fight is only beginning and people need to understand that.
01-31-2017 , 05:07 AM
Couldn't agree more. I didn't get the fist-pumping over the ACLU thing either, but I'm sure it fetched a decent amount of donations and a few more headlines. To see their reaction you'd think something actually changed.

Eh. I think it was fine. People have been doom n gloom since Agent Orange took office. ACLU showing some confidence might lift peoples' heads up.
