I am just shaking my head endlessly.

At this point I'm starting to believe they (FBI/IC) collectively have enough to take down Trump. The delay is because they aren't convinced it will be enough for GOP to move on it.

Quite the dilemma.

Not to get all conspiratorial, but a credible guy like Malcolm Nance getting spooked has me...well...spooked.

They also don't read books so have no idea when they are implementing a playbook straight from Watergate.

It's funny, like Soros I consider myself a failed philosopher. Law is easy. It's for semi-smart people. Actual smart people usually do science/math/Phil (though, as it happens, not on 2p2), but seeing Trump and his people, they can't even do law. They are just idiots.

The tomahawk strike on Syria was 100% about the red line and thumbing his nose at Obama. No Trump gives the slightest **** about kids being killed.

yes isnt that so? law easy, math hard. therefore smart goes to math.

i love how easy worldview some people have.

on average those type of occupations might have people with a higher iq yes, but the variance is going to be so big that doing a claim like this is beyond silly. alot of smart people dont even do college.

here is a comparison with Legal occupations very high

simplicitus is or was a lawyer iirc. He's being modest.

Otoh, he can eat a dick for dissing math people on 2p2. It isn't just Sklansky, you know!

i believe the traditional gop of the past would fear the olds, but this new trump version of the gop just does not care. they luckboxed the election and know this window will probably be their last chance in a long, long while where they will ever hold all three branches of government, so they're going to use their one time to undo the system and assist the mega-rich in robbing the american people totally blind, likely knowing worst case most will end up having cushy private sector jobs waiting for them after this is all over.

from the gop's point of view it's a win-win: in some warped alternate reality where things somehow turn out okay, they can take all the credit, while for all other outcomes, they can just blame trump.
i think conservatives are voting gop because they want these things. its easy to think they are duped or dumb or evil or insane or all at once, but at the end of the day they are half the country and its just our morals that are different. conservatives emphasize some things, we dont. its unfortunate but i think we have to apply tolerance instead of the constant screaming.

edit: that is regarding the gop. Trump on the other hand should be resisted whenever he steps over his boundaries. But luckily i think hes to dumb to be able to consolidate powers or anything like that, so probably country survives.

I was in grad school in a to 5 philosophy program. Dropped out and went to a top 10 law school. Most people in law have little idea what genuinely smart people are like, but the avg lawyer tends to be better read than, say, the avg dr or engineer.

the problem with talking about "smart people" is that its going to be highly dependent on what they devoted their time to. one smart guy might have done math from a early age on his spare time because he was a misfit and a nerd that didnt fit in. hes going to appear very smart because his mind is being filled with content. a biologically equally smart person that is a social winner wont necessarily be doing alot of reading or math on his spare time while young. in fact he might hate school because there is so much value otherwhere.

they are both equally smart biologically, its just that the guy that was nerding his youth away will appear _far_ more intelligent some years down the road.

so i just dont care very much for these types of discussion about smarts and not smarts tbh since who is "smart" is going to be highly dependent on who burned more time reading books, who got the direction and values from their parents while young, who has the devotion, who didnt fit in socially, who takes more pride in their intelligence etc.

Constant explosive stories are providing a great deal of cover for loads of bad GOP policies to sneak through. Not a good thing, and getting worse by the day.

That said, the silver lining is that Trump is so caught up in legal & political warfare that he's barely able to speak publicly anymore, let alone pass legislation. And his badly inexperienced method of "putting things out there to gauge the public for a reaction before acting" is no longer viable. Not sure what effect that will have yet. A lot is TBD for after he returns to "work" on Monday.

Let's just hope that the inability to function well enough to push a Republican agenda is what finally breaks the Trump/GOP bond.

Portland thing is, unsurprisingly, not getting nearly enough attention. It's a direct result of Trump and the resistance to saying so isn't helping.

Breitbart wisdom. Instant dominance.

A group slam. I want to suplex Morning Joe right in front of Mika. Bounce him off his dome. We need to teach more of these lib fairies a lesson about respect.

The Truth is that the President and First Lady are returning home from the most significant and successful Presidential trip in anyone's memory. They represented the country with strength, purpose and class, and offered No Apologies! The leftist fake media can't acknowledge the reality of it, because Trump's instant dominance on the world stage made them feel insignificant and weak. They are pathetic. They focus on trivialities because they are perpetually jealous people. The leftists are trapped in a demented group psychosis.

Bolded isn't exactly what this idiot wants to brag about. If Trump knew how to apologize when he was wrong, the rest of the comment probably wouldn't exist.

Of course these guys aren't smart enough to figure any of this out. They're still struggling with basic cause & effect, and just blame whoever Trump blames.

The legal argument that the president can pardon himself is super dubious and I'm guessing SCOTUS says "lol no".

Which of of these statements is incorrect?

It is safe to assume that most of Trump's inner circle, including the president, was compromised by a Russian connection.

Little to nothing will come of these connections because no matter how many WPO of NYT stories the Republican Party will never take action.
05-27-2017 , 08:13 AM
It's good to see that Trump is listening to his new Russia counsel and setting up a WAR ROOM to fight 60% or more of his own country. This is completely normal, and how every group of innocent people behaves.

Why does one of them have to be incorrect?

Funny you say this, because there was an episode of Madame Secretary where the neighbors of the Sec. of State are up in arms about the security details on the street who sit with their engines idling whenever she's home.

Madam Secretary is truly terrible. Only political drama that might top it is a POTUS Keiffer Sutherland show I saw a commercial for that looks like essentially the same terrible recipe as MS.
