I don't want to put words in Sklansky's mouth here but think of Trump as the mediocre white person's political lottery ticket. Yeah he seems pretty unstable and might be corruptible or sell us down the river, but his promises sound outstanding, Hillary Clinton puts me to sleep with this boring stuff so: voting for Trump. They priced the downside risk as low because they're white and maybe older, on a fixed income, whatever, figured things couldn't ever get that bad for whites but maybe just maybe he'd do all the magical things he promised. It's not even a bad bet, right? Old angry whites DO have a ton of political leverage. The GOP is probably going to grift some from them but if **** gets really bad, they're gambling the authortarian jackboots will land on the young taking it to the streets and immigrants and black people first, or the pain will be felt by some foreigners we invade or bomb, or whoever, maybe the press will get clubbed, who knows, but ultimately the gamble is that old whites make that the political system go round, and the sytem will eventually genuflect to them and spare them any real downside. It is probably true enough?
That was pretty much what we were saying. In some cases though they didn't even need to feel there was a decent chance he would keep his promises. The mere MAKING of a promise, such as building the wall, was preferable to not making it, even if everyone knew it was a lie.

We are very close to someone leaking a completely fake video that looks real, and now no one believes video evidence anymore. I'm sure the Russians are working furiously on it and waiting for the right time. It will cause a huge stink, MSM and everyone will buy in, then it will be proven fake.

Once that's gone there is no truth and no objective reality. That's not me it's CGI. I deny everything.

Saw a clip of this tech (to create video of a person's face controlled precisely by another person's talking and expressions) shortly after the election and was emotionally devastated by the implications for enhanced propaganda. Still no idea what happens at that point, at least until there's some sort of verification system put in place.

And now for some uplifting news for once. I seriously wonder if Bannon went home and cried after Trump won. He had to be salivating over monetizing anti-HRC sentiment for the next 4-8 years.

People won't believe the verification system. Any hop from "I saw it with my own eyes" can easily be dismissed if the viewer wants to.

On Facebook, I'm seeing lots of pics of kids graduating. I've seen a few middle schoolers who got some "President's Achievement Certificate" or somesuch, and they have Trump's dumb signature on them.

Tilts me every time I see one.

Trump may be in a position to kill solar in the US and drive me out of the business or out of the country.

Anyway, here's another small story that 1) Is really bad for us (but don't worry stupid ass Trumpbase, there's no evidence Russia is a threat), and 2) Provides a little more insight into Comey's Russian disinformation snafu:

Friday news dumps are a tactic of competent politicians. Trump's administration is too disorganized/ chaotic/ incompetent to organize stuff like that. We just get it in real time as it comes

My kid graduated Middle School last week. One kid got that. I'm surprised it didn't get burned at this predominantly Mexican (90%, Tucson ftw) school.

Not sure if posted yet but this made me laugh out loud in Starbucks and a lady gave me a funny look.

There are some people who feel they were misled. Because he misled them, Jones said. “With him saying what he did that day, and not saying ... that 550 jobs were still going to leave that facility and go to Mexico.” Carrier is most likely to lay off its least-senior employees, Jones said.

Yet they continue to parrot "you can keep your doctor" on Fox and throughout the government as Obama's biggest lie in 8 years. Sheeeet, Trump beats that hourly.
