Hard to say these days. It's certainly true there's a huge ecosystem to get voters, particularly Trump voters, etc. to dismiss anything that isn't servile to right-wing interests as a liberal fiction.

HOWEVER I do think that the olds while they are very very pliable and racist and largely dumb and easy to scam, they remain just spry enough and just sharp enough to know when they are getting ****ed over and I do think the GOP is absolutely at the theoretical boundaries here.

I don't know if Tom is correct that Trump is the ultimate undefeatable post-fact President or if the olds are going to absolutely decimate the GOP but man what a ****ing gamble, olds and their health care, turning Medicare into a premium support scheme for tens of millions of people, that's gotta be like the last remaining true Third Rail before Social Security.

If the GOP can get this one through and survive to tell the tale it's like the end of the Republic. You can torture, you can bomb and invade indiscriminately, you can give infowars a press pass, you can rage tweet all day, you can brag about sexual assault, you can say the old President was a Kenyan imposter who wiretapped you, you can fire all the law enforcement directors, you can tell Russia our dirties ****ing laundry but if Trump and Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell can uninsure 15 million olds and maintain control after 2018/2020, then that's it, game over, fold up shop, there is no stopping these guys.

the other bomb we already knew is sessions didn't put russia meetings on his clearance form like he's supposed to. Like Kushner, this would normally revoke that clearance but lol @ that happening under trump.

I don't know how "russia discussed how to influence team trump" is a story whatsoever or even should've been published. Nearly every country in the world certainly had some meeting on that. We certainly do that with nearly all of them.

I'm going off Wheatrich description of it, but the problem isn't that it's not a bomb. It's that it's an article reporting about Russians talking about how to influence US politicians which is a non story. The problem with it is trying to make a big deal out of stuff that isn't a big deal undermines everything else they do.

We hear about these crazy bills being proposed but almost none of them even get debated, let alone voted on. It's just a way to generate more fear of the Trump administration.

1) I clearly didn't say that.

2) it's the media's job to report news, not propping up something which is clearly nothing as intentionally fueling an agenda which that report clearly is. They've done it a lot which is why most people hate them and that isn't news anymore than whatever Hannity does. They need to stop that.
