The problem with this lie is that there are great visuals that show its a lie. For most of his lies, its hard to show to someone with a supershort attention span how much of a lie it is (e.g. there's no way to show proof of global warming in less than thirty seconds). In a twitter world, this lie is going to hurt as you can't really explain away the pictures without looking ridiculous.
