I've always thought Trump is like Frank Burns in MASH. There's even a scene where Frank wishes the soldiers that got shot didn't hog all the glory from the soldiers that were good enough not to get shot. Frank also thinks he's very intelligent and hates how people pick on his stupidity. Hell, he even gets a Purple Heart he didn't deserve.

2017, May 21st, Sunday, 7:40 pm Pacific time.

No war between Trump, president of my new country and Putin, president of my home country.

So far, so good

He went pretty hard a number of times. To his credit, he properly called them out for support of the 9/11 hijackers. Also, especially when people on the left criticized the Muslim ban, he'd try to spin it into a progressive policy by pointing out how poorly women / homosexuals are treated in Saudi Arabia and he didn't want those values taking hold in the US. This was mostly concern trolling, imo, but he did go in on them.

After so much smoke there's got to be some fire right? I mean, I know it's good lawyering but Trump's has tried to undermine any investigation into anything related to Russia, Flynn or collusion at every step of the way.

The Justice Department is already reviewing Mueller's background as well as any potential conflicts of interest, said department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores.

Even if the Justice Department granted a waiver, the White House would consider using the ethics rule to create doubt about Mueller's ability to do his job fairly, the sources said. Administration legal advisers have been asked to determine if there is a basis for this.

Under this strategy, the sources said the administration would raise the issue in press conferences and public statements.

Moreover, the White House has not ruled out the possibility of using the rule to challenge Mueller’s findings in court, should the investigation lead to prosecution.

I don't feel like searching through tweets, but he went ridiculously hard on her for a long period for taking MUCH less from the Saudis than his daughter got yesterday. Who even knows WTF he personally made from that $109 billion weapons deal or anything else they discussed?
Compare to Obama, or whoever. It's insane.

I explained this to a Trumper earlier and got "But Obama 400k speech" in return. It's impossible to discuss anything with a person who has absolutely no concept of numbers, law, logic, reality...

Fox and Co. love this kind of ignorance. They prey on it and DGAF about the country. GOP alignment is perfectly sensible.

Since apparently Trump is soooo exhausted, it'd be a sweet move for the media to hold all major stories on Trump until the minute he lands and then drop a weeks worth of leaks and news on him the minute he gets off the plane lol. I think he might snap.

NO!

With the overwhelming amount of evidence they will be looking at, I'd completely lose my mind if Trump weaseled out through some technicality.

we're really in trouble now

Not being a lawyer, that conflict of interest/requiring a waiver is hard to understand. I mean Justice hired Mueller to do a specific job with a scope spelled out in writing by Rosenstein. If something additional is required then Rosenstein needs to clear that up immediately. It seems like he's the final authority.

All the reports were the Mueller was pretty much untouchable in this sense no? This is the GOP we're talking about so they'll make something up and their base will believe it. But it'd have to hold up in court no?

Robert Mueller killed JFK! I think imma spread this on The_Donald.

So the White House is going to obstruct justice, on an obstruction of justice charge?

Can't make this **** up.

There's no world where Trump uses the world 'beguiles' let alone uses it correctly.

Oh that takes me back.

Bullseye had a cult following in the UK when I was a student (though it was just about finished by then) - mainly as it was so crap and had lots of catchphrases (like "you get six darts, three for the darts player and three for the non-darts player"). Also, the host was probably the worlds worst, most naff, comedian. Add to that a bit of cultural snobbism that came from darts being a pub-based game, largely played by hugely overweight roast beef and Yorkshire pudding types, and you had classic TV!
