Of course that's a great success. If we had medicaid for all like the majority of other first world nations our population would be living much healthier and longer lives. That is a bad thing?

It's truly bizarre how people in the 21st century can think protectionism is a good thing

He ended up like Mike Milligan.

NAFTA is protectionism, it's just a matter of who it's protecting.

One example

It's nothing new. It's free trade for the third world, the colonies and the plantations and protection for the first world, transnational corporations. It was the same when England demanded free trade between them and Egypt or India and suppressed any efforts at protection and tried to do the same with the North American colonies. Egypt and India were left with the legacy of free trade while the United States won the battle, enacted huge tariffs and developed its own industry.

So, I would adjust NAFTA as well, but it wouldn't primarily be for the benefit of Archer-Daniels-Midland.

Apparently just as, if not more difficult, than all of you people just ignoring this guy instead of responding to him so you can feel smart for a minute...I'm sorry, I mean debating with a person whom's opinion you will never change and doesn't give a **** what you think or believe.

Is it up to him? AC goes pretty hard on Lord at times. I always assumed CNN put Lord in the rotation.

Oh sweet! Donald Trump, the president of the United States, is ceremoniously being greeted by the country behind 9/11. This is great!

Convenient conflicts, sure, with you there - but you're seriously worried about him conspiring with SA for false flag terror attacks?

For all of Trump's idiocy and many faults I'm at least going to give him the benefit of the doubt. It's a pretty big jump, and one I don't think you can consider making without a tight lock on your inner circle. Right now he can't watch TV without someone leaking it. Putin would have to coach this guy up for years to get there.

I mean Dubya had Dick Cheney and a fairly competent staff to help him organize 9/11, and they still made a lot of obvious mistakes that simple folks on YouTube spotted right away. What were they thinking, everyone knows jet fuel can't melt steel beams.

These are my thoughts exactly. If we can use this to gain seats in 2018 and somehow have Bernie not age a day by 2020, things will swing back in our favor way more than if HRC was in right now.

Supporting a fascist because you think you can use him to see off someone undesirable then ditch him, has a very unfortunate historical precedent.

The statement was purposefully extreme, partly based on the truth of Trump's previous actions and capabilites out of desperation, a lesser part parody, and an even lesser part hyperbole. I'll make a small case for the possibility anyway...

1) Why does he have to involve any potential leakers from his team? Especially after hearing on AF1 that at least Jared or one of his top officials is working as a mole. All he has to do is ask for privacy one or more times, like when he told Pence and Sessions to leave so he could pressure Comey.

2) All the "masterminding" can easily take place on the other side. Trump can simply expose a tiny vulnerability somewhere and leave the rest in their hands. The only qualities needed are a strong sense of self protection and lack of care or compassion for the American people. Check and check.

Bonus) Trump has half a brain left if you remove the part with dementia. Which probably means anyone with more than half a brain is capable of tricking him. Only a short meeting with the Russians got him to reveal code word top secret intel against our interests, and to let Putin's media in posing as a personal photographer to Lavrov. This doesn't show mal intent, though it is another way we're susceptible to a terror attack while Trump is around.

How does it feel, even having this discussion about the US President? There are probably more points to make, but I'm not looking to think too hard at 6:40am on a Saturday.
