As far as the rest of your post, I put as much stock in those figures and predictions as I do the ones the Obama admin cited when Obamacare was forced down our throat, and we know how that turned out. Keep your doctor! Save thousands! Affordable insurance for everyone! Yeah, right.
You know what will also lead to more crime, unemployment, and higher prices? Soft sentences for repeat criminal offenders, and massive increases in the minimum wage. It doesn't matter who's in charge. WAAF.
If only there was a field of scientific study devoted to criminality and recidivism, like something focusing on our society and the things about it that lead people to become criminals and stuff. Then maybe the people in those fields could, you know, write papers and things that explain their findings and government could implement them as well thought out policy positions.
Or we could go with the guy who developed some real estate once, and who also failed miserably at owning and running casinos. Because he says he's an expert on all that stuff.
Makes sense I guess.
