Clearly, we need to ban white people from entering Canada until we figure out what the hell is going on. Can't be too careful.

Oh and airport congestion this weekend was caused by a delta computer glitch, not thousands of angry protesters.

We have people with valid green cards who have jobs, family, and all kinds of interests here, being banned from entering the country they've called home for YEARS.

It's about strategy. They're bamboozling us by playing a shell game. It's one of the oldest cons in the book. Global warming is a hoax! - Quick which cup is the pea in? 1,2, or 3? - Screw women's rights! - How about now? - Suppress LGBTQ rights! - Whoops! Not there! Haha. Ban Muslims! And if we continue allowing them the use of subterfuge to keep us and the MSM busy rushing from cup to cup chasing one lie and outrageous antic after the other, there's a good chance they succeed in taking over the free world. It's like trying to catch flies with a pitchfork. This is the last I'll say on this I promise. Not only am I far from the smartest person here, but even if I have a point, it's just falling on deaf ears anyway.

I agree with the basic argument made here, and I don't think it's helpful to the common cause of decent people to attack this post with snarky comments. Interactions like that, and chasing dumb super-obvious trolls for "schadenfreude" reasons is just what they want. Same reason Russia runs astroturfing campaigns all the time. Because it works on us. Because most people (especially online) cant help to try to prove how wrong they are, but fail to see that internet points will not defeat the fascists...

I don't have the first idea what you mean by that, so if you could point to something I've said that is factually incorrect then that would be great. I said that I believe that referring to lives lost in general for something like Remembrance Day (ie WW2 in general) is not the same as what we have here (ie where the reference is to the Hollocaust). Seems like you disagree with this.

If you are saying that you don't think I know much about Polish suffering in the WW2 then you are way off, but I'll spare you the details of why and how many people were lost on my wife's side.

The far-right really is comprised of a group of dolts.

I've got no idea if what he proposes is good but I agree that we need to realize that the WH has a plan and them going as fast as possible on multiple issues is something thoroughly planned (by President Bannon most likely). We need to take a step back on this if we want to have a chance.

Of course dumb arguments need to be debunked, but not engage the same troll for 50 posts on end, thus detracting from meaningful discussion/concrete action ...
It's counterproductive.

Eh i quoted the wrong post. I meant to respond to SUB who was expressing doubt about the nature of holocaust denial.

Yeah it's being reported that they are checking people's social accounts and asking political affiliation and stuff. Pretty sure that's a tough answer.

That's not really the vibe I got at all but maybe

Hey dummy dumbersons you are too dumb too even work at Starbucks if you can't comprehend what "worldwide" means.
That only scratches the surface of their dumbosity:

Or you could just stop posting anti-Semitic things.

Nah, I actually like your way better. Bye bye!

I've been watching the news pretty much since yesterday nonstop. I'm pretty sure this isn't healthy for me but I can't stop. This is all so horrifying. I've been really trying to find the good in any of this but I can't.

Got this email from lyft yesterday and it made me feel better:

[Hi jmakin,

We created Lyft to be a model for the type of community we want our world to be: diverse, inclusive, and safe.

This weekend, Trump closed the country's borders to refugees, immigrants, and even documented residents from around the world based on their country of origin. Banning people of a particular faith or creed, race or identity, sexuality or ethnicity, from entering the U.S. is antithetical to both Lyft's and our nation's core values. We stand firmly against these actions, and will not be silent on issues that threaten the values of our community.

We know this directly impacts many of our community members, their families, and friends. We stand with you, and are donating $1,000,000 over the next four years to the ACLU to defend our constitution. We ask that you continue to be there for each other - and together, continue proving the power of community.

I'll take some responsibility for that, sometimes I can't help but act like a cat playing with it's dinner. Snap bans often result in other plebs coming out of the woodwork to defend the banned poster, which is also annoying. Wookie's way (at least today) of giving posters the opportunity to prove their claims or eat a ban is cool imo. No one can say that the poster in question wasn't given all the chances in the world to come correct, or to admit wrongdoing.

Also, it takes away claims that Wookie doesn't give people the opportunity to explain themselves before passing judgment. Now Trolley might say 'wgaf about trolls', but snap banning them is too easy, I'd rather some bright light shown on their claims and reasoning. Why? To make an example to others who would think they can spew nonsense here and then cheerfully eat a ban as an escape, an out, an excuse, from having to explain themselves.
