The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

putin now claims he somehow has a transcript of the conversation in the white house where trump leaked key word top secret classified intel.

in case anyone had any doubt that he is the commander-in-chief of the troll army

Sounds like this Comey guy really knows how to CYA like a boss. Apparently he kept detailed notes of all his meetings with Trump. Looking like Trump just got outplayed.

Low energy Donald. Sad.

Thing is can't trump just deny everythimg in the notes? Comey could technically have written anything he wanted no?

I've said some cringeworthy things here over the last decade, but I don't think this is one of them.

Just to be sure, I went through the trouble of searching my post history to confirm. The only two cases of me participating in impeachment discussions are in a thread about impeaching GWB for war crimes, and one this year about Trump.

I did vote for Trump, and I also believe I drank the Bernie kool-aid during the primaries that the Clinton e-mail scandal would sink her and result in charges. But pearl clutching? ehhhhhh not so much. I just thought HRC was a terrible person in general, and that Bernie would've been a hilarious slam-dunk loss for the dems in the general.

However, I do find it amusing that your average democrat internet hero who was okay with HRC having an open door for 6 years to classified government data in the form of her private e-mail server is now going out of their minds over the unconfirmed possibility of POTUS sharing anti-terrorism details with an ally.

They have credibility and are considered evidence according to what I've heard this morning on the news stories. It's because of Comey's position I think.

Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) on Wednesday said reports that President Trump pressed ousted FBI Director James Comey to end an investigation would merit impeachment if true, becoming the first Republican lawmaker to broach the idea.

The New York Times on Tuesday reported that Trump tried to pressure Comey to stop investigating former national security adviser Michael Flynn, citing a memo written by Comey.

Asked by The Hill if the details in the memo would merit impeachment if they're true, Amash replied: "Yes."

What Alliance does the United States currently have with Russia?

Looks like marching orders have been handed out: COMEY'S NO ANGEL

(this is the clown MSNBC is trying to hire)

Frothy repeated it

Sure, but the written testimony of an FBI guy is usually taken very seriously the same way a policeman's testimony would be. The whole #BlueLivesMatter fellation of the police may have backfired for the GOP.

Honestly, you should consider it. If two years is too scary, just try two months. The time will pass, absolutely nothing will have changed, and you'll realize how utterly ridiculous it is to spend this much mental energy on something you cannot control or even influence.

I'm not glad, and Trump is turning out to be a bigger personal trainwreck than I thought he'd be. Someone needs to take away his phone. But the alternative was HRC, so the dems have only themselves to blame for this ****show.

Here he goes...offscript.

EDIT: He's going with the "I'm being treated so unfairly" defense.

EDIT EDIT: Probably the most boringest speech he's ever given.
05-17-2017 , 12:11 PM
Holy **** he's doing it. "Look at how I've been treated lately...especially by the media!"
05-17-2017 , 12:12 PM
I still can't believe Republicans are doing this much to protect Trump. They should impeach him, put Pence in and start getting their business done. It's going to be nothing but scandal, scandal, scandal for the next 4 years if they don't.

IANACIA but if I was in charge of compiling the President's intelligence briefings I would be seeding them with juicy but inconsequential lies (Like Kim Jong-Un masturbates to reruns of Golden Girls) so you could confirm when Trump leaks it.

Full on stump speech to end.

You know exactly what I mean. Stop nitpicking.

If the truth comes out that Trump did indeed provide the Russians with details about things to watch out for, how is that any different than when Russia warned us about the Tsarnaev brothers in 2011, well before the Boston Marathon bombing?

But again, all of this is speculation.

Cite? I've only heard people quote Trump stating that POTUS has the authority to share classified info as he deems fit.

Obviously he needs to stop muddying the waters, but that's different than him saying, "Yeah, I told the Russians XYZ, so what?"

Umm...Russia is not an ally. They are allies with Syria (which we just bombed) and Iran. Iran wants to destroy Israel, which is allies with the US.

Try to keep up.

Elected GOP leaders need to start working their base and convincing them that Trump is bad, so they can impeach him and put Pence in. It wouldn't be hard. Just use facts.

I guess the problem is people like Hannity, Limbaugh and the right-wing media nut-o-sphere. They don't care about anything getting done, and Trump probably helps their ratings.

But if the GOP really wants to advance their legislative and governing agenda, they should get rid of Trump ASAP.
