The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

National security is at risk because of the leakers! Not the president!

If you were thinking mcmaster wasn't gonna fall in line and save you, you are wrong. If you think republicans will ever do anything, you are wrong. If you think someone will step in and stop this eventually like the movies, you are wrong. Up to the people now and that's it.

Erick, son of Erick, agrees Trump's leak is worse than what is being reported.

I was thinking maybe he was something of an independent thinker butnahh he's still active duty and following orders, it's more pointless to listen to him than to Spicer or Kellyanne, or at best equally pointless

McMaster reassures WH reporters by informing them that Chump wasn't even aware of the source of the intel he shared.

I for one feel reassured.

How do you reach this conclusion from reading the article?

Maybe put some Ritalin into his food?

Maybe Trump can do whatever he wants for now. But he doesn't run everything in the world and others have power too.

US allies can do what they want and withhold crucial (except for anti-Trump) intel.
Russia can do what they want and exploit Trump's weaknesses to further attack us.
The middle east can do what they want and kill off people that Trump exposed.
The IC and Trump staffers can do what they want and leak to drive him crazy enough to make bigger and bigger mistakes.
Future appointees with integrity can do what they want and refuse to work for him.

It's in the hands of the people, but we still have some help. For now.

EDIT: Ok not all those are good things. Trump's dreams of omnipotence haven't been realized though. Maybe after a few more years.

Well,

I am told that what the President did is actually far worse than what is being reported...I know just how credible, competent, and serious — as well as seriously pro-Trump, at least one of the sources is.

McMaster's contention was that trump didn't reveal methods and sources, but the implication of the leak is that Russian intelligence could reverse engineer the intel to figure out sources and methods

I never in my life thought I would actually get tired of winning, but today it finally happened. Right now I'm feeling slightly fuzzy-headed and sour, but mostly bored. Really wish we could all just dial up a loss or two just to keep things interesting.

Can anything get this guy impeached? Shares classified intel with the Russians (while under investigation for inappropriate ties to Russia no less!)... goes on twitter to say yeah he did but he's allowed cause he's Prez... subverting the lies his own staff was trying to spin about him not actually doing it... and still, not a peep from GOP members of congress?

This guy is, in the most literal sense of the word, too dangerously stupid to be President. He needs to be removed before he does irrevocable damage. GOP are so spineless, you know in secret they all discuss what a travesty this guy is.

I, too, blame Wookie for using ambiguous wording.

Trump beside himself trusting nobody while on a massive leaker witch hunt is a comforting thought.

What's not comforting is the IC having to do the same to protect against Trump loyalists.

Not sure I buy this. He's saying misleading things, but he's certainly not trying very hard to actually mislead anyone.

You don't buy that McMaster's credibility has taken a hit working for Trump? Ok then.

I'd say there's still clearly a difference between McMaster and someone like Spicer, whose words have no relationship to the truth. McMaster clearly feels obliged to try and avoid saying something that's a direct lie, so his misleading denials still have some utility.

I just checked a couple of my pro-trump Facebook friends.... one who was SUPER ardent and would post any little ole Facebook conspiracy has deleted ANYTHING resembling political talk off her Facebook. I was on her page like a week ago and her crazy republiderp was everywhere. She literally went through and deleted everything.
