If you do not think the Democrats are Wall Street friendly, not sure where you have been.

The point is people would have feel asleep with Hilary at the wheel. With Trump we are seeing and reacting to everything. The system is broken on both sides. They try to tell you it isn't because of these rights and those rights, but both sides are chipping away at your Constitutional rights.

Organizations like the ACLU are getting massive donations (even though they don't oppose the infringements of the 2nd amendment). The whole nation is getting involved in what is going on politically. Trump is definitely going to cause some damage, but the backlash will hopefully help the country going forward.

Black people are naturally good at rapping, dancing and tolerating discriminatory law enforcement environments, this is common knowledge you guys.

Anyway remember when Obama nominated a Republican non-politician for FBI director to show he was reaching across the aisle, then the media gave him literally no credit for it, then that Republican ruined the ****ing country by grandstanding about Hillary?

That was good.

Trump, irked at cabinet and staff, mulls sweeping shake-up

Quote:
At the urging of longtime friends and outside advisers, most of whom he consults after dark, President Trump is considering a "huge reboot" that could take out everyone from Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Steve Bannon, to counsel Don McGahn and press secretary Sean Spicer, White House sources tell me.

Trump is also irritated with several Cabinet members, the sources said.

"He's frustrated, and angry at everyone," said one of the confidants.

I can't express how much joy I am getting reading all these stories about cheeto nazi and his temper tantrum. I hope he fires everyone.

The real question is who the hell would take those jobs?

That post was practically crying for a "Thanks, Obama" at the end.

Just him and Jared, like old times.

Don't pay attention imo.

Yeah, I wouldn't doubt it's just an attempt to show who's the boss.

Yup. Classic authoritarian distraction play. "Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic." Keep your eyes on the ball, which is policy.

are we falling for this shakeup **** again?

Bannon is on the outs and has lost influence

wrong

(brilliant PR move by trump there--that was the media discussion rather than all the other **** they were doing)

Gorka is gonna leave

wrong

that lady is gonna be exiled to singapore

nope

Ivanka is a moderating influence

Literal FAKE NEWS

etc, etc. He actually might fire spicer b/c spicer looks weak and he's obv frustrated but most of this is bluster and just a deflection and something for the media to talk about rather than real stories. IT'S THEIR FAULT NOT MINE.

It's also a hedge and a common business tactic in poorly run businesses. The boss is ultimately a ham handed clown who doesn't have a clue, but inherited some wealth or run good and has control of the company. Then they issue a bunch of contradictory or unclear directives, deploy new business initiatives, whatever, and have all the underlings scurry around guessing at what the boss wants. If miraculously successful, the boss gets the credit. If they fail, the boss throws the darts at the dartboard or tries to find the least dependable schmuck who looks like they might be wavering and blames and fires them and promises BIG CHANGES now that the bad influence(s) are gone.

Trump would love nothing more than to get by with his floundering blamed on Bannon or Conway or Spicey or whoever. I do think it's sort of a big strategic miss for liberals and the left to focus their ire at guys like Bannon or even constantly making a joke of Spicer. It gives Trump the political space to fire either and give himself some pretend re-set button, the cunning CEO, now EVERYTHING is different thanks to his great leadership.

It's garbage. As much as possible don't focus on Trump's underlings and ignore his press people who are even more pointless to talk to, like Conway and Spicer.

It's all Trump. His staff is irrelevant. The royal court intrigue is just a game to distract people and give himself a hedge.

So what you're saying is, instead of reading American historians and authors I need to be watching The Office (U.S.) to understand the Trump White House the best.

Who's falling for his shakeup scam? All the coverage I'm seeing are playing it as his self induced chaos.

I'm simply enjoying his flailing and the fact that he and his sycophants are suffering. They all deserve every moment of discomfort and derision they are getting. You sign up to work with a nazi don't act suprised when you get shot.

Who needs Spicer if you aren't having press conferences?
05-14-2017 , 10:55 AM
Point is, say he fires Spicer and Huckabee-Sanders takes over. Doesn't really change anything right? And now Spicer gets a big fat book deal or a job at some cable news channel and he's sitting pretty, we still don't get any answers at press conferences and we still have a President who is actively dismantling our system of checks and balances. And like I've said before, he now controls two of the three branches of government.

I understand just fine. I am responding to what people are citing (incorrectly) as evidence of dementia.

Whatever you think the signs of dementia for Trump are -- irritability, poor attention to detail, impulsiveness, bad judgment -- they have always been core aspects of his personality.

I would not be surprised if Trump has suffered some cognitive decline. He would be a rare 70 year old were it otherwise. But Alzheimer's or some unusual degree of dementia? Nah.

There is a reason why everyone in this thread who lives in NYC strongly rejects the idea that Trump has changed in any way that it atypical of the normal aging process.

Most Trump-like TV boss?

So far I'm thinking Steinbrenner on Seinfeld.
05-14-2017 , 11:11 AM
Yeah it's really fun to go after Spicey and Bannon et al, shooting fish in a barrel makes the shooter feel good I suppose, and god knows there is no shortage of material. But they of course only look so stupid and hypocritical because they are working for an idiotic lunatic. Letting them take the fall is bad politics.
05-14-2017 , 11:18 AM
Imo they should all be gone after. Trump won't be the first to fall in any way. But Spicey is pretty trivial. Bannon not so much.
