The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

He's an idiot with the mind of a child. He heard it once, then forgot, then thought he made it up.

When I was like 5 I told my Dad a lie - that my Mom and stepdad took me to a car show. There was a real car show but we didn't go for some reason. My Dad believed me until I stretched the lie too far and told him there was a cardboard car with a real engine inside. I had no idea what car shows were - I thought they were like super weird versions of cars. Nor did I understand the physics of cardboard holding up a 500 lb engine.

To this day I remember my Dad looking at me and giving me a look that told me he obviously knew I was making **** up. Somehow Trump never got past that phase.

You can call it not out-growing the phase of a 5 year old. When you're 70 behaving like that personally I'll call that ****in nuts or demented

If I hear from one more person that Trump's mental state is in question because the Democrats are driving him crazy, or "Why does it matter to you?
How does that affect you personally?" this week, I might lose it.

**** you Trump-controlled state media Fox jerkoffs! Seriously when will this end because I'M going crazy too.

It may be a fine distinction, but I doubt Trump sincerely believes he made that phrase up. It's more likely he believes the last person to use it in his presence made it up, and that he is stealing credit for its invention because that's his right and natural role as the boss-man.

Or, like with everything else he does, his priorities of making a big news splash are greater than the truth.

What he's actually thinking...well that's something that baffles even the greatest mental health experts.

It's clearly dementia and it's going to get worse. Unlike with Reagan it will not at all be kept hidden.

Yeah, one thing people who are losing their memories do is they make up stories to fill in the gaps of their memory loss. It's kind of an insidious thing they do naturally to help cover the memory loss.

My impression is that the timeline is tremendously variable. Like it could be a slow descent over years or pretty dramatic changes in months. Still, I guess even in the seemingly slow changes I've seen in a couple people, there was a pretty stark contrast between notable onset and one presidential term later. Is there a typical progression?

Getz: Yeah. [He gets an idea] I know. It's simple: Uh, if you ask a cop if he's a cop, he's, like, obligated to tell you. It's in the Constitution.
Badger: Constitution of America? [Getz shrugs] Huh.
Getz: So-so go ahead and ask.
Badger: You a cop?
Getz: No, no. Not like that. Ask it like, official.
Badger: Are you a police officer?
Getz: [holds up his hand as if taking an oath] No. I am not a police officer.
Badger: Okay then. $175 for a teenth.

Trump taping convos incriminating himself thinking Comey was "on his side" and putting skin in the game, all the while Comey taping them as part of investigation?

i just finished a 9 week course on dementia/alzheimer's. one thing that accelerates and exacerbates the condition is changing the person's physical environment. Trump's environment is changing daily (or at the least 2 or 3 times weekly).

secondly, sleep is very very important. your brain is actually repairing itself while you're sleeping. for ppl with cognitive impairment (really for all of us), 8 hours of sleep is critical. it's been reported that Trump doesn't nearly get 8 hours of sleep a night.

Is there a link between insomnia and early onset Alzheimer's? Cause if so, I'm kinda terrified.

There's a link between not getting enough sleep and pretty much every bad physical and mental condition.

f this discussion. 45* doesn't deserve the kindness of consideration that it has a mental illness. it will gets full credit for everything while being of sound mind and body, just like it wants. it and its deplorable don't get to hide behind any excuses for what it has done

Is anyone really outraged by Trump's firing of Comey? Like call your Senator or House Rep mad? Like talk to your friends and family about what to do to get this guy out of office mad? Or is it just an entertaining show to watch?

I highly doubt that Trump has Alzheimers or dementia. It might seem that way to an alien who landed on Earth a year ago, but the truth is that he has ALWAYS been like this. I can't stress this point enough. By always, I mean always. I mean every day of his life for the last thirty years.

His presidency was guaranteed to be a ****ing clown show.

Bingo. I'm going to guess from your handle that you are from NYC and have watched Trump be an utter idiot for a long while now.

Both of these. We've had 18+ months of hare brained explanations and excuses for Trump. What is so difficult about accepting that he is 100% exactly the idiot he seems to be?
05-13-2017 , 11:00 AM
I accept that he's an idiot, I also accept that the farther you go back, the more lucid he seems in interviews. What is so difficult about that nuance
05-13-2017 , 11:02 AM
Trump was always an ahole and never a genius, but he could speak coherently in the 80's and 90's.
05-13-2017 , 11:05 AM
Also I'm not letting him of the hook, I'm hoping he deteriorates quickly and obviously enough that he's soon no longer POTUS.

for sure. on both. but I always thought of him as pretty harmless and NEVER thought it was possible for anyone to buy into his bullchit. sick or not, being an a-hole isnt a crime. believing in one as if it's farting gold dust should be
