Gotta be some other crimes Trump committed that I'm missing.
Obstruction of justice seems like it's hanging on the edge of the pocket at this point.

Maybe our best hope now is Trump stroking out while watching negative TV coverage.

What in Sam Hill does that metaphor mean?

If nothing else Spicer has a guaranteed future after this gig, just by taking a page from Zach Galifinakis and creating an interview show called "Spicey between the Bushes"

You sound like a Trump voter, or actually a non-voter.

I've quoted a good line from Quiz Show before, "Anyone who thinks this is about money doesn't have very much." It's reminiscent of Mazlows' hierarchy of needs. Some people have all their material needs met and will try to make more money as a way of "keeping score" or because they like winning whatever game they play (business, investing, etc.), but most will naturally focus on other things, such as real philanthropy (even, eventually, ruthless people like Carnegie and Rockafeller).

The richest people in the US give tons of money away, some (like Gates and Buffet) to better humanity, other (like the Kochs, Adelson, the Mercer's) to try to impose their will on the world.

Another thing, until he was elected, Trump's money was likely running down fast, and his net worth could have been negative. It's only with the presidency that he's really ramping up his income and Trump-related investments are increasing in value.

With posts like this or, say, Shuffle, I wonder if you can hope to educate someone or if they are simply too unthoughtful to ever see beyond their shallow horizons.

is there a chance Dump's 84% approval among R's goes down w time and they are just too proud and in denial at how quickly it's being shown that they made a wildly idiotic decision in Nov, a mere 6 months ago? Deplorables boarded a plane that crashed at takeoff and they are desperate to still give it a go. No way only 15% of Rs deeply and truly feel ok with all of this?? Rationalizing to themselves is PEAK right now

When you start losing cola companies, it doesn't look good.

nah what am I even talking about, that never happens.
He did the same thing back in 2007 when he refused to testify until subpoenaed about a domestic surveillance program him and a few others in DOJ helped stop.

idk maybe im just hopelessly trying to be optimistic. deplorables gonna deplorable no matter what
It isn't going to happen all at once. The last two polls (I think Quinnipiac and Survey Monkey) had his R approval numbers around the same, but the strongly approve number dropped by ~15% in each which at least helps point to some small erosion.

Basically we're waiting on the line that crosses the Ryan/Turtle political risk acceptance level. The problem is there is no proof that it even exists.

84% is pretty low when you consider 100% of his voters voted for him 6 months ago.

This election convinced me that 100% of the money spent in politics is wasted. Hillary got beat by a trucker hat.

wat. it said 84% of Republicans not 84% of former Dump voters. I think you're conflating the two. Dump has never had support of 100% of Rs

Some people itt really need to read up on polling error. Better yet start listening to 538 podcast. It's awesome and very educational.

Of course actual polling is legitimate

I was referring to all the useless asshats who call themselves "pollsters" who, for example, make a living taking a piece of ad buys and, shocker, advocate massive ad buys, who were exposed as being worse than useless by cheeto man

With all the loyalty oath business I bet they are mostly afraid of each other and keep objections to themselves unless they are very confident about who they are talking to. A reporter from The Economist was talking about a long interview of Trump in the Oval Office and that a lot of people were coming and going and just hanging around showing support for Trump. He compared it to the court of Henry the VIII iirc. Trump was apparently spouting nonsense about currency manipulation by China and Mnuchin, who should know better, was auto-confirming whatever Trump said.
05-12-2017 , 09:44 PM
Not to mention all this "tapes" business.
05-12-2017 , 09:48 PM
Is there any debate left that trump is the worst of all time president now?
