Do you not think that virtually all of those you saw who voted for Trump would have voted for Bush, Rubio, etc? And don't you think that there were a few you saw who voted for Clinton but would have voted for some Republicans?

My point here has nothing to do with politics but rather my concern that posters should be more careful with logic. Specifically in this case your error is conflating the proposition that "people with economic anxiety voted for Trump" with "people who voted for Trump had economic anxiety". The incorrectness of the second proposition says nothing about the correctness of the first.

I think he wants to wait to be subpoenaed before he re-appears before any of the committees. Gives him the ability to claim he was forced to appear instead of volunteer.

at some point there's got to be at least a tiny remote possibility that someone somewhere along the chain of command decides to do something really revolutionary and NOT BE A GIANT COWARDLY POS AND ACTUALLY SPEAK OUT AGAINST DONALD ****ING TRUMP for like one day in their miserable life, right?

nah what am I even talking about, that never happens.

Trump saw an opportunity that he could exploit to become president. The unwashed masses care about and freak out over things like abortion. Billionaires don't care about these things, especially Trump.

I'd put the over/under at 10 minutes for all of Trump's life that he's spent seriously pondering social issues like these. Trump isn't the only billionaire or politician playing the public, but Trump certainly doesn't give a **** about these things one way or the other.
Welcome back dan.

Free samples are the backbone of society and anyone who speaks negatively about them should be punished to the full extent of the law.

Really? I thought Fox shows always had the highest ratings. Is the lack of O'reilly hurting them?

Interesting. In his MTP opening, Chuck Todd drew a link between Trump learning Flynn was interviewed by the FBI, then going to dinner with Comey the next day to request loyalty and ask if he was under investigation. I posted earlier how Yates visited the WH on January 26th and the Comey dinner was on January 27th, but I skimmed parts and didn't fully understand the implications. Thanks Chuck.

Basically, Trump has been obstructing investigations and trying to bribe law enforcement since as early as 7 days into his term. Again, something about Mike Flynn drives him wild. I really hope it gets explained down the road.

I'll have to dig up the chart somewhere but MSNBC has been within striking distance since Trump and the sexual harassment stuff has been going down.

Absolutely. I mean, the material has been flowing this week, but she's been great at catching key connections. She'll probably focus on the Flynn/FBI thing above for at least 2 minutes tonight.

7 years old would be closer to accurate than 7 days into his term on this statement.

If Comey were waiting to testify to give Donny more opportunity to incriminate himself, I'd have to say it's working well so far. He's "priming the pump," so to speak.

Comey takes out clinton, now he's gonna take out trump.

Dudes gonna be a V.P. pick in 2020.

It comes from the notion that seems to be prevalent in coverage and analysis of the election that "working class whites" represented a plurality of his support. As we all know, they did not. The narrative is tired and it makes sense that people who understand the reality of the election (FNC addicted people making 70k+ are his real base) would be frustrated by this.

True about Trump, but there are billionaires that care about other people and they spend vast amounts of their fortune to try to help others

But Trump is a narcissist and definitely doesn't care

Trump about F35's

Luckily this is a complete lie, but my god if he starts a war he'll give away all the damn battleplans in interviews.

MSNBC crushing ratings would have a big impact on Trump. I'm not sure how, but he'll definitely react.
05-12-2017 , 06:23 PM
HawaiiSurf take is just ignorant. For many super wealthy, there really isn't much to do other than to try to impose their beliefs/worldview on humanity. Trump is something of an exception, but he's a narcissist.

Rachel & Lawrence are the next to be investigated then thrown into private prisons for mandatory maximums.

The only ones who care about 'total viewers' are right wing hosts as a talking point. Rates are set by viewers in 'the demo' (ie, not olds), and msnbc has lately been beating Fox.
