Im not saying he could or couldnt tape the recordings. Im saying that Nixon got into these paranoid tapings shortly before he was taken down, and they were eventually used against him.

The GOP was already tearing down democracy before Trump got elected. Voter suppression, stealing a Supreme Court seat, and using the investigatory power of Congress for purely partisan purposes. They don't really believe in democracy.

CNN just said Trump cancelled his visit to FBI headquarters today because the timing of it would make him look bad. Yes, really.

Isn't the question about investments/loans, not income?

Indeed an LOL qualifier, but regardless, isn't prevailing wisdom that if something exists, it's Russian-backed loans or investments in property or projects managed by Trump Org? That wouldn't appear as "income from Russian sources". His personal income source would be the property itself or distributions from a corporate entity.

Trump himself is very careful to parse words on this issue as well. "I have no investments in Russia, no buildings in Russia" is usually the response.

2 Russian income. If the total is over $1500, you cannot use Form 1040EZ.

I mean they did go hard in the paint for the Midwest states that were key to him winning....

Might have been blind luck, but it looks like the swing for the fences play was the correct one.

Has anyone in the GOP ever watched an actual football game? Sports! I love it! Come, common citizen, chat with me over a cold Bud Light about how we will step up and punt the ball into the end zone.

Well all remember those flying-wedge sweeps where Peyton Manning would roll right and run down the field with a massive wall of blockers in front of him. A less experienced QB would have run out ahead of his wall of blockers. That's football!

nope. bc, as wookie says, rules dont apply to republicans.

it has been shown time and time again that these ppl are so far above the law that there are no consequences for the most contemptible actions. things are only going to get worse as they continue to consolidate power and oppress the ppl and suppress any sort of check on their power.

despite what we learn in school and what the media/entertainment likes to shove down our throats with propaganda this country does not have a very nice history of equality and civil rights and rule of law. we have had certain stretches where things were decent.

regardless, things are about to get so much worse than they ever had been. for the foreseeable future we are going to be a one-party country with minority support. this party does not believe in civil rights, equality, human rights, or individual property rights. they are going to fleece every single person in order to enrich themselves and their cronies. poor ppl may not have much, but they will not be allowed to keep it.

we are entering a very dark era.
