I would assume it goes something like:

1. Comey admits his agency has an ongoing investigation into the current White House and their possible collusion with foreign agents in the 2016 Election.

2. Trump admits that he called Comey and talked to him about the investigation into the White House.

3. Comey gets fired.

There are connections that have to be made, but that looks like a solid framework for some obstruction charges.

Maybe Trump's staff is actively trying to get him to be impeached or quit. That's the only explanation for their incompetence...how do you let Trump go into an interview and let him directly contradict the VP?
