So Rosenstein threatened to resign as he became the scape goat last night. Confirms Trump fired Comey and used Rosenstein to try and justify it, not that there was ever any doubt. It seems like Trump is getting pretty desperate.

What's even more astounding is that the Rosentein threat has already leaked.

It's like the dossier...everything we suspect about Trump keeps coming true.

Grew up Republican. Hates Obama. Hates anyone from Arkansas. The brainwashing is deep in Texas.

Can confirm. My father is from Arkansas by way of Texas, and he hates himself.

Apparently Rosenstein is one of the few in power that can order an independent investigation into a Trump/Russia connection. If true, I'm using my one time dealer.

That WaPo article is pretty much wall to wall quotable paragraphs, but a couple things especially caught my attention:

Quote:
Trump and some of his advisers did not fully anticipate the ferocious reaction — in fact, some wrongly assumed many Democrats would support the move because they had been critical of Comey in the past — and were unprepared to contain the fallout... “I think the surprise of a great many in the White House was that as soon as this became a Trump decision, all of the Democrats who had long been calling for Comey’s ouster decided that this was now an awful decision,” Dubke said. “So there was a surprise at the politicization of Democrats on this so immediately and so universally.”
So they really didn't realize it was going to blow up. Hard to believe.

"Politicization". God these people are idiots. Speaking of which:

Quote:
Dating to the campaign, several men personally close to Trump deeply distrusted Comey and helped feed the candidate-turned-president’s suspicions of the FBI director, who declined to recommend charges against Clinton for what they all agreed was a criminal offense, according to several people familiar with the dynamic.

The men influencing Trump include Roger J. Stone, a self-proclaimed dirty trickster and longtime Trump confidant...

“What Comey did to Hillary was disgraceful,” Stone said. “I’m glad Trump fired him over it.”
The nerve of these guys, Jesus.

NC turned red to vote for Trump. How does Trump thank them? Tells them to piss off after being hit by Hurricane Matthew last year.

North Carolina will receive only $6.1 million from the Trump administration. That’s 99 percent less than the requested amount.

True Grit (the John Wayne version) was my introduction to AR v TX rivalry. "I ain't never seen nobody from Texas I couldn't shade."

So, when do we find out that the Russians received a tour of the sit room? Will the Russian media publish those photos, of does Vlad keep those in his private collection?

Not sure how investigating Russia-Trump ties is considered abnormal. The FBI is supposed to investigate things like this.

Al Franken killing it on the floor today. I'm becoming a fan. Bharara, Bernie, Warren, Franken, someone in the FBI, someone in the CIA, someone in the press: we need a hero. This is not a representative democracy anymore.

@SuperUberBob

I think that abnormal is more of a 'We're actually having to do this' abnormal.

They can't comprehend an immediate and universal sounding of alarm bells as anything other than something done purely for petty political strategy

Where does your friend stand on creationism in science class?

I'm struggling to see how any sane educator can vote Republican when you think of some of the **** they've tried to railroad into the curriculum.
