I could see realistic scenarios for African-Americans and LGBTQ people, but aside from the typical legislating of Christianity, I'd be surprised things could so far as to do things to Jews. Trump is all about money and I guarantee he buys into the stereotype that Jews control the money, so he wouldn't want to **** with that.

Now, I could see the deplorables continuing to be emboldened and making life tough for non-white Christians, but that's a different story.

What was the motivation behind the Holocaust Remembrance Day statement? Any guesses? Because that's no small potatoes in the Jewish community. I'm comforted that my grandfather wasn't alive to see that.

Pretty much yes. Trump didn't get elected by smart well read people.

Well yeah, he already expressed that belief in a not-so-subtle way. Remember that image he posted with Hillary, $ signs and the Star of David? You know, the one he took from one of the neo-nazi websites he browses on the reg.

Good point (and I'm Jewish, btw). I'm probably just trying to cling to one last shred of "not complete and utter doom."

And the campaign ad about "global special interests."

Why does the ban affect Germans as well ?
And the most important question these days is : why is it bad to not letting People from countries into America were the Majority of the Population hates America ?
For the same reason we let people who hate this country post on our internet forums: we're just generous like that.

And then someone who is thought to be an important source for it turned up dead, possibly at the hands of the FSB.

In isolation, yes. But don't forget: he's also doing stuff like fighting the (critical) press etc.

If it comes to the 2020 election with Trump still in power by that time no one in their right mind (outside of Trump supporters) will still see the US as a democracy.

It affects anybody born in any of the 7 countries. Ex: Born in Somalia, but UK citizen? Door's shut on you.

Nobody's 'letting them in'. The process it takes to get approved to come here and stay here takes years. Anybody who tells you otherwise is being dishonest and probably hateful. The entire point of being a 'refugee' is that you're coming from a place where you don't feel safe, presumably because the gov't or the majority hate you. If the majority hate America it's all the more reason to help the minority that don't.
never heard about that central five thing from 28years ago, but the guys confessed as i just read. How should he have known that they were most likely not guilty ?
Housing Discrimination is more of a business Move and not makes him a racist, just a capitalist. and if you are saying Black people should care more about Frisking and upping law enforcement in Chicago( the city with the highest murder rate in america as far as i know), are you implying that Black People are more criminal than White People ?

As you might know the countries that get the ban are all Countries were America had an Military invention. Dont you think that there are a lot of people that want revenge and hate America ? How will you know who will hate America and who does not ?
You mean "Refugees" like the 100thousands Illegal Migrants that Germany let in without them having Passports and which are the main reason for a strong increase in violence and senseless Crime ?

What are you basing your claim that the majority of the population of Sudan hate America on? What does it even mean to hate America? It's a country with an extremely diverse population of 300 million. You believe that a majority of the people in Sudan hate every single one of those 300 million people, or some sub-population of that 300 million, or the US government, or military, or culture, or certain aspects of the culture or foreign policy? What about someone who disagrees with the US foreign policy towards Israel and thinks Hollywood movies perpetuate stereotypes about Islam, but is a big fan of Lebron James and Steph Curry - would he count as someone who hates America? What exactly are you claiming? And again, what are you basing your belief on? Can you provide a link to some sort of population survey of Sudan to substantiate your claims?

Do you think this should be the general policy of the US government? To not admit anyone from a country where the majority of the population hate America? How should the US government determine that - by a telephone survey in every country in the world - maybe an online poll? We all know that public opinion can change pretty rapidly, so how often should they conduct these surveys? Maybe once a month, every three months, every year?

Do you think this would be a logical policy? Let's imagine a Sudanese man with family ties to America -

"Sorry, our poll says approval of America in Sudan is only 32%, you can't come in."
"But I'm not involved in politics at all, I don't have anything against your country, I don't speak for the majority of Sudanese, in fact I haven't even been there in 15 years, I'm living in Britain, I just want to come to your country to visit my father in the hospital and spend time with my nephews."
"Sorry, no dice."

Do you think this would be a good policy to follow? Why do you think this would be a superior policy to the current methods of screening of visa applicants?

Chicago does not have highest murder rate. Here is a tip, if Trump says it you can assume it's an outright lie.

I still don't get it. The bad dudes already have green cards and visas, but they've just been too lazy or busy to make travel plans? And advance notice would have motivated them to move? These are some un-dedicated would-be terrorists, no?

People that had American Soldiers in their Country killing citizens are most likely big America Fans.
of course there willl always be cases were this is not the case. But a smart Move is always to play the numbers

I think this is the sort of logic that applies to his base. You can bet that people will roll out this line in defence of this strategy.
