Easy to clear up. All Eric needs to do is explain how he got golf courses financed in the middle of a financial meltdown during which nobody was lending money to purchase silly things like golf courses.

Once he answers that he can put this all to bed.

So if we stop increasing our military budget unnecessarily but instead use those funds to invest in actual American people we might have a shot of avoiding a Soviet Union death spiral? I concur.

I don't think people understand how much flipping money we have because we do such a poor job spending it.
also, in the case of federal spending, we literally can never run out of money, so it's a stupid argument from an economics 101 point of view

Any mild excitement I had over Yates goes out the window when Chris Cillizza writes a story about how its going to be blown wide open

Huh?

I guess this is literally true but certainly not practically true.

Nah. He'll just hold rallies saying how awesome he is and how he could still win if he wanted to. Dude's holding rallies now for chrissakes.

This I agree with and yes we over spend on the military.

They care about one thing only, tax cuts for rich people. If there was a rider on the tax cut bill that gave the Kremlin veto power over the US it would not lose a single republican vote.
It's another nail in the proverbial coffin. Everything is leading up to 2018. If the Dems win, they will have control over what can be investigated. Until then, there's not really anything they can do.

So that means the obvious, obviously. Get him out ASAP regardless of whether or not Pence would be more successful at passing insane GOP stuffs.

We can only hope Obama didn't warn Trump not to start WW3.

The Trump factor tho. He has a way of putting everyone, friend or foe, in the most awkward spots. He's a complete drama queen, which is usually not too dangerous unless the person is in a position of power. Leader of the WORLD? Very bad nightmare.

It's funny (sad and scary actually) how Trump still doesn't accept ANY Russian threat. Maybe it's collusion, maybe it's ego, and maybe it's both. Since he met with Obama though, he's been going around telling the world how NK is the worst because "Obama warned him." Well, kind of. At first he teased it like crazy, saying it was some kind of top secret thing that Obama didn't want him to repeat. But he told the world anyway...and he was misled! LOL Drumpf.

Just to show how everything Trump proclaims trickles down to his supporters and state run Fox media: Judge Jeanine was doing her "Street Justice" segment 2 weeks ago. She asked people on the streets of NYC who they would rather run into in a dark alley - Kim Jong-un, someone from ISIS, or Putin. She even emphasized the P in Putin like "Pffft-utin" to, you know, lead the question a bit. Fox's intentions are obvious to anyone with half a brain. That said, Trumpkins are really scared of ISIS.

this comment is the pinnacle of right-wing propaganda manipulation. taxes paid to the government only exist to offset the burden on the startlingly wealthy with the remainder of course ending up in the hands of the military.

spending tax dollars on healthcare, education, or anything that may improve the life of an american citizen simply does not immediately benefit the extremely wealthy and will therefore fail because [insert right-wing talking point].

On Veep last night, one of Selena's press people started a rumor that ended up circulating around the entire media, and her own team even ended up believing it once it came around full circle (even though they were fully aware that it was their own creation). That was supposed to be a fictional thing, but I get the feeling that that kind of thing really does happen to the Trump White House on a regular basis.
