The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

Pretty sure she came as she was saying "alternative facts".

I do not understand why Trump continues to care about:

*Twitter. Does he know that whenever he says something millions of people will consume it? He uses the media as an excuse but he is one of the most powerful men in the world, he is not dependant on the media OR twitter to get his message out. It is a small thing, but it makes him look cheap, unprofessional and ridiculous.

*Staying focused on his rhetoric on Obama, Hilary, his war with the media, stupid stuff like inauguration crowd,... What is his goal here? Does he literally think that he has to win a debate on these matters before he can do his job or before he can win the respect of americans? Does he realize that the majority of people that don't respect him don't care about any of this stuff?

CNN is fake news. They said it's illegal to read Wikileaks and we should trust what they tell us about information on WL. They claimed Omar Mateen was a self hating homosexual not motivated by RADICAL ISLAM but they still push the narrative. They altered the recording of a BLM leader to make it look like she was calling for peace during the Milwaukee riots when really she was calling for them to burn down the suburbs

I'm not sure Kellyanne Conway/Team Trump didn't just crush that Chuck Todd interview. Trump has scandals up the ass and for 12 minutes or whatever the only question being asked related to crowd size.

Meanwhile Conway was able to get her talking points across knowing full well that none of them would be challenged until she answers a question she is very happy to simply avoid answering.

Spicer lying about crowd size is not a scandal. Team Trump telling Spicer to lie about crowd size is not a scandal.

Every moment spent on this is a moment not spent discussing a genuine scandal, of which there are many to choose from.

The next four years are going to be full of these diversions.

CNN has been wrong more than a few times.

So it's then okay for Trump's press secretary to lie?
01-22-2017 , 12:46 PM
No it's not. It's perfectly okay for him not to give a **** about CNN and ban them from the white house since they're interested in creating fake news to push a narrative

This only works if people are not aware of this type of bull****.
It is not a scandal but him & his team investing this much time into something so stupid has made me lose the little hope I had for his presidency. If he had spent time addressing one of his significant scandals I wouldn't have, even if he was losing the argument. I'd at least know he is committing to spend time on the important things. The way these first 3 days have gone by should be enough to convince anyone who said "lets give him a chance" that he has already blown his chance or that it is not looking good.

It's either all smoke and mirrors or he actually is an immature little baby that only cares about stuff which should be very low on the priority list of a president. Not sure which is worse.

yeah! he should spend more time on important things like inviting fraudsters like ahmed the clock boy to the white house
01-22-2017 , 12:49 PM
I don't think catch thirtythree understands what "fake news" means.

The larger point, one that I think Chuck Todd did a good job emphasizing, is how are we supposed to believe anything that comes out of this administration if the Press Secretary is lying about mundane things right out of the box? No, the crowd size thing is not remotely a scandal on its face, but Spicer laid down a marker that says he's not to be believed. And Conway doubled down on it. That's huge. The more we talk about that, the better.

I disagree.

Demonstrating that the Trump team will lie about even the most trivial thing is important. And this is a simple case, easy to understand. The real scandals will be harder to follow.

Casting CNN as "fake news" based on the three examples you provided is not remotely reasonable.

What news source do you find to be most accurate?

pbs frontline

Conway also today moved their position from 'Trump will release his tax returns when he's not under audit' to 'He's not releasing his tax returns PERIOD.'

Just saw a 'Confirm Jeff Sessions' ad. That has to be a new thing Right? Ads to influence cabinet confirmations.

Kelleyanne just weaponized alternative facts against the press

I like how the White House is openly using alternative facts, and cnn is fake news for calling them out on it. #1984

This is what happens when a person who is informed solely by Fox News cartons is elected.
