The TDS really is quite sad, and I'm always a huge fan of white liberals telling me how I should think and feel because I'm too dumb as a minority to have my own opinions on how my tax money should be spent?

I mean if you want to split hairs I registered dem so I could vote sanders in primary because his views and mine were in sync quite often. And I get it that's it's inconceivable to you that I would not rush to the polls to vote for God emperor Hilary. But that doesn't change what the reality is

Looking back at Jules's recent politics posting history, he is pretty consistent anti-Trump throughout. He may have some disagreements but he doesn't have the goals that people like BS and VMF have.

I've always felt that P is pretty harsh towards anybody who deviates from what is accepted here as true regardless of the merits of their arguments. Just because a person's view is a minority viewpoint does not automatically make it or the person who has it inferior.

The type of strawmanning and labeling going on is beneath most of you here.

But calling it Trump Derangement Syndrome when he is actively poisoning the country and saying tax dollars do nothing for you other than roads is just lol and we'll call you out for it

You can go farther back and find out that I wouldn't piss on Repub party if they were on fire but it's mostly based on their stance on social issues. I would rate myself on economic issues as indifferent/opposed to the federal taxes I've paid and what my ROI has been

Deranged implies irrational or mentally unstable. Conflating anti-Trump sentiment with mental illness is pretty insulting.

Did you go to public school? Tax dollars

Do you live in safety thanks to the police and court system and laws we have? Tax dollars

You also get fire department help if needed (even if haven't personally needed it quite yet). Tax dollars

Do you get safe food when you eat out or buy groceries? Health and food inspection and laws etc cost Tax Dollars

Do companies not outright scam you most of the time? Tax dollars to create and enforce regulations and laws

The cost to do all these things yourself would have been astronomical

I think that's a big problem. New York practically voluntarily resegregated its schools so that white people would come back to the public school system. But like the Southern slaveholders who pointed out that blacks were mistreated in the North and subject to racism, which they were, but all the while patting themselves on the back supposedly treating their slaves with tenderness and care and not, you know, the abject horror and brutality that slavery actually was, it takes some chutzpah to think the sh*thole red states have much ground to stand on on just about anything.

Nobody likes paying taxes but even when not spent optimally they benefit society.

Filing income taxes is like going to the dentist. Not a single person likes going to the dentist but it's something we all have to do for our own good.

Without your federal tax dollars, we'd have other countries bombing us and killing us given how much natural resources and wealth we have

Defense budget doesn't need to be anywhere near as big as it is, but without any you'd be in trouble
