I'm not saying I wish Hannity would die. But if he suddenly died tomorrow, I would pay good money to piss on his grave. Dude is highly complicit in Trump getting elected.

Trump: 'I couldn't care less about golf'

Quote:
President Trump on Friday defended his frequent weekend trips to his luxury properties, saying he does not care about golfing as much as people might think he does.

"I have a lot of property. So if I go to my clubs like in New Jersey, they'll say, 'Oh he is going to play golf.' I am not going to play golf. I couldn't care less about golf," Trump said in an interview on Fox News.

"But I have a place there that costs almost nothing because its hundreds of acres and security and they don't have to close up streets," he added.

Trump said he feels "a little guilty" going back to his Trump Tower residence in New York because of all the expenses that are associated with each trip.

"I love New York, but going back is very expensive for the country because they close up Fifth Avenue and they close up 56th Street ... and I always feel a little but guilty when I go there," he said.

Trump noted that he prefers to visit his other properties because they are not as expensive to secure but added that he does not want to be perceived as "lazy."

"It would be much better if people would understand that I could go other places that I have. But then they hit me for relaxing. And I don't want to be known as a person that relaxes because I am working hard and I am working hard for the people."
Jesus H Christmas. This has to be The Hill BSing on the left, no? FAKE NEWS, sattire, or actual Trump quotes? I can't tell the difference anymore.

Right about here is where I'm supposed to question his credibility, but it doesn't make any sense to. Credibility doesn't matter when you're bat**** insane.

Have you already forgotten the saga of Stephen Miller adjusting his tie / doing the white supremacy?

Some babies and children get Trump's sympathy. Others do not.
Babies are guilty until they get baptized.

It's definitely a fake quote because out of all the thousands of grammar errors he's made over the years, he knows "couldn't care less"? Please.

It's one thing to have a balanced writing staff, I mean they've had David Brooks for however long, it's another to send out push notifications to all your subscribers like "ayyyy check out our edgy new columnist and his argument that you all should STFU about climate change" - WTF?

This thread from Jeet Heer seems spot on on this very point.

They are asking people to subscribe to defend the truth while employing someone who has a history of splaining the truth of climate science as this scientist points out in his cancellation letter to the NYT. I hope they get the message.

I'm amazed at all the amazement about this quote.

Midwestern and Southern resentment of coastal "elites" is not a new thing. It's been super prominent for decades.

I'm not so much surprised at the quote. But I'm saying the sentiment is perhaps more powerful than it has ever been in this country, and it would be unwise to ignore it or just say "wow that guy is crazy."

Apparently I was wrong to laugh the other day when Trump said he planned to withdraw from NAFTA in 2 or 3 days, which landed on Sat or Sun. According to reports, he actually DID expect to drop the bombshell at tonight's rally, in an effort to steal the news cycle away from the correspondents' dinner and make himself look like a tough guy against our allies. That is, until a leak got in the way...

Just like the leak(s) that got Flynn fired from his NSA position, Trump was forced to cave to the pressure again. Word got out about NAFTA, and WH aides were rattled enough to make a big stink. That's when he reversed course, as others have said, BEFORE speaking to Canada and Mexico on the phone.

Not saying leaks are good or anything. Just God forbid the Republicans are successful in stopping the leaks against Trump. They'll provide enough cover for him to get away with even more than he does now.

Hi guys,

Any word on how the voter fraud investigation is going?

His entire presidency will be a battle between malevolence and incompetence. Thankfully there appears to be no limit to their incompetence.

Have to ask the guy in charge of it, Mike Pence, when he gets back from his doomsday shelter / Asia trip.

I think it's safe to say that we've entered the "shuffling things around frantically" phase of this authoritarian administration. It's a standard play for authoritarians and they tend to use state-run media in conjunction with this to make it look like a lot is getting done, when really they're just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic so to speak. I think this will be a major theme of the next four years.

Bannon and Gorka are the most notable examples right now, but there will be more. This is one of those things that's actually largely a distraction, but it's not 12D chess. It's just basic authoritarianism 101.

Last night, MSNBC talked about Trump's favorite keywords on Twitter. #1 is LOL vocabularies. #2, good...very patriotic Donald. And #3 just shows how ass backwards his priorities are.

1. Great
2. America / USA
3. Fake news / media

I think you mean parentheses instead of quotation marks.
