I would be OK if the mods nuked every post in this forum in which a poster accused the other team of hypocrisy.

Every hypocrisy post is a horn bug post. There is a correlation of 1.

when the only argument for the guy you voted into office after 100 days is '...but look at what the others might have done', you know you ****ed up.

Ready to hear some weird ****.

My favorite version of the hypocrisy poster is the "hypothetical" hypocrisy poster.

He's the guy who watches the dumb Snoop video and then goes on a ten minute rant about what the "librul reaction would have been if Ted Nugent had pointed a gun at someone in an Obama mask."

Well my mom for one (who inexplicably voted Repub despite having a mostly liberal but also idiotic and naive worldview) seemed pretty taken aback by his quote that he thought it would be easy. Maybe the suburban types are finally seeing what an idiot he is? Not terribly hopeful but there's a chance.

Shuffle may have been pretty insufferable during the campaign but he is looking slightly more prescient as it stands now...

What is the basis (I dont know how to formulate it,ethics?legal? idk) to forbid some countries (iran,NK etc...) to obtain nuclear weapon?
USA has a bigger dick obv

I don't think that Trump's base has abandoned him yet, but I've always assumed that they have no real devotion to him either.

If Trump fails to "win", they won't learn the error of their ways. But they will happily transfer their affection to some other seller of magic beans.

It's becoming obvious that it's gonna take a few years for Trump's base to realize he won't actually make their lives any better. All they know right now is he's making a lot of noise (largely with the help of MSM/liberal freakout) and they can't separate that from actual stuff happening.
04-28-2017 , 02:31 PM
And by then the Dems will have Congress and they'll once again blame them for something something. Never engaging in any self reflection. Rinse and repeat.

Two soldiers killed in Afghanistan, any comment from Trump? Watching the NRA speech now.
04-28-2017 , 02:39 PM
Trump speaking to NRA really delivered on the stupid.

I saw one post that said when the entire focus has been on the culture war there's no need to pander on policy. Kind of makes Trump perfect for it because as a rich New Yorker he probably couldn't tell you which way the bullet come out.

Pretty sure we won't hear a peep about those soldiers:
Friendly fire may have killed Army Rangers during ISIS raid in Afghanistan

A lot of voters are using the Supreme Court as ex post facto justification though.

What's the latest on the border fence?

Trump handed out that stupid map that colors in by county so america looks red bull**** to reporters during his 100 days interview.

Also, everyone's pissed at NYT for an opinion article saying climate change may not be a thing. What a year for stupid things companies do to cost themselves PR and $.

Not only that, they promoted it. Like, I got a notification from their app during lunch (which is usually for breaking news or for longer articles they've been working on for awhile) saying:

"In his debut as a Times Op-Ed columnist, Bret Stephens says reasonable people can be skeptical about the dangers of climate change"

Am I supposed to know who Bret Stephens is? Because so far he sounds like a ****ing moron. I'll go read his column now so I can make sure that's fair.

Yep. Full of strawmen and is basically a Hillbilly Elegy for climate change. The final sentence is this:

Quote:
Perhaps if there were less certitude about our climate future, more Americans would be interested in having a reasoned conversation about it.
**** off you ****ing dip****, this is the "maybe if you weren't so condescending to flyover states they wouldn't have voted for Trump" argument. Like hell they weren't. For as long as corporate interests are against addressing climate change, they'll make damn sure that the GOP officials they support are telling every American who will listen (which is about half of them) that using less coal is an insult to our freedom and will kill an angel in West Virginia.
