We're gonna be this sooner than people realize. It'll be a bit different though as there won't be a need for serfs.

Between awval and his 401(k) and lew not understanding what a DREAMer is, the past few days have been entertaining here. Bonus points for Sushy and that Nazi he likes. Anyone else we missing? I'm sure someone is up in arms about North Korea infringing on our freedoms.

I honestly agree with you Suzzer.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

Take the tax deduction now when you can.

Genocide.

Over turning of Obergefell.

Over turning of Roe and/or Casey.

Calexit.

If awval's 401(k) tax deduction gets taken away, does that mean he can close this thread?

This thread gets closed when Trump is no longer President.

He ****s with the 401k, I can tell you that date.

Avwal has to be trolling here right? He is like a cartoon parody of the self-centered republican.
04-24-2017 , 09:37 PM
No way. There are Republicans in my family and that is absolutely the thought process.
04-24-2017 , 09:37 PM
He's real, and he's spectacular.

No matter how many times Republicans take a **** all over the producing classes, people continue to think they will win out somehow, someway by voting for these guys. Part of it is big business bullying people, part of it is a slavish devotion to lower prices. But it's also a lack of empathy and a lack of seeing the need for a common good to work towards. We have to address the fundamental issues at some point, Trump is just a symptom of our sick society.

Doesn't it disturb you that the 401(k) is the line that's crossed? Not bombing brown countries and killing Americans in Yeman? Not telling our allies we sending an armada to NK and actually sending it in the opposite way? Not SK saying they no longer trust us? Not spending hundreds of millions in tax payer dollars at his Florida winter home? Not Russia? Not nepotism? Not the EPA? Not Sessions saying MJ is as bad as opium? Not Devos and education? Not Perry and nukes? Not Americans paying for the wall after being told Mexico would pay for it? It's 401(k) plans because it affects you personally? Alrighty.

Yep. He literally represents 30% of the voting base in the US. Lovely isn't it?
04-24-2017 , 09:41 PM
Yeah I was gonna say 0% chance lew was a McMullin voters. McMullin guys would tend to value ethics highly.

It's terrifying. It's not just our politics either. Our reality tv shows have made a mockery of ethics and have turned sexual degradation into a sport for a long time. We don't value art or history any more, we value visceral intensity and, let's face it, shamelessness. We have to get back to a place where we value intelligence as a society, and when we get back to that place we'll elect far better leaders than Donald ****ing Trump.

Edit: Mass media reflects the population that it's created for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndFysO2JunE
In other words, Fox News wouldn't exist except that a population that values what Fox News produces existed first.

I just cannot believe that the GOP would slice their own throat for that. They can't win without suburban upper middle class voters.
Of course they can. Republicans could go door to door in most southern districts, knock on the door, tell their constituents to go **** themselves, walk away and they'd win by double digits.

Kasich town hall now on CNN. Remember when Republicans were Republicans ...

defectors are reporting the north korean government is shakier than ever and possibly on the verge of collapse from within. trump comes into office and changes our diplomatic posture completely: starts fanning the flames of war with kim jong un for some probably stupid reason. do you think trump is moving the usa closer or farther away from causing millions of deaths there?

meanwhile somebody posted an article speculating about your pocketbook and you were in defcon 1 within 20 minutes. be honest about your priorities and add "moderate tax rise" to the top of that list

+1 here. I'm surrounded by conservatards, on my mom's side. The thought process you're talking about is second nature for all of them. Coincidentally, the same folks are hardcore Christian fundies as well. But I've posted way too much in RGT about that stuff.

Oh yeah, they all also claim to be moderates.

Does anyone know if there's been a connection made between Trump's buildings in Turkey and his call to Erdogan, and Flynn being a foreign lobbyist for the country?

Also, same question about Turkey and Russia. Any link?

They were just talking about conflicts of interest with Turkey on the news, but I didn't hear Flynn mentioned at all.

Neither. Trump will do nothing effective, then when NK government collapses, take 100% of the credit. Bigly

Trump's strategy is the same as Bush's which was the same as..... The Republican strategy has been exactly the same for 20 or 30 years. Maximize the threats, sabre rattle, sound like you're just about to go to war... and then sue for peace trying to maximize their bargining position. I remember when Bush was threatening to go to war and the media dutifully reported it like it wasn't some political theater. Now Trump's nuts so who truly knows but banging the drum for war over North Korea is totally standard for a Republican

It's really not. NK is bat**** insane. We've pretty much left them alone the past 50-60 years.

Any other country, I'd agree with you. But NK is like a black mamba for a snake charmer. You just don't **** with it.

Trump of course is the carnival barker yelling "Watch this!" while red/white/blue fireworks go off in the background. Anything for an audience.

Lots of people single issue voted for Trump because they thought they were going to get a tax cut.
