I'm as shocked as you (that it took this long) Exxon has applied for a waiver on Russia sanctions.

http://www.foxbusiness.com/features/...sanctions.html
"The State Department is among the U.S. government agencies that have a say on Exxon's waiver application"

OF COURSE

"Mr. Tillerson is recusing himself from any matters involving Exxon for two years, and won't be involved with any decision made by any government agency involving Exxon during this period, a State Department spokesman said"

Yeah but here's the thing that makes this still BS, the part where tillerson can fire anyone in the dept for any reason he wants part.

Remember, Trump doesn't think O'reily did anything wrong.

Pretty obvious Trump just sent Tillerson out there given last night's story about Iran complying with the deal. Classic GOP war mongering.

back to trump nominating the best people
meet Neomi Rao (not white or a dude!), the director of center of study for blah blah blah at Antonin Scalia University. Well that sounds wonderful, what else. What's her core positions?
https://thinkprogress.org/meet-the-w...e-54b850ec19f2

"Trump has, in other words, selected a regulatory czar who isn’t just hostile towards regulation, but who wants to place permanent limits on future administrations’ ability to regulate."

Sorry future, you're just gonna have to deal with all the bull**** from this administration forever.

under framework, laws like the Clean Air Act cannot exist, as their entire structure depends upon enabling agency experts to issue binding rules upon regulated industries. Indeed, it is questionable whether the United States would even be capable of enacting an effective environmental policy under Thomas’ framework.

****ing great. We wrecked the environment and there's not a damn thing you can do about it even if you wanted to.

"Rao’s core argument is that members of Congress — including the senators who will decide whether or not to confirm her — should lose influence."

"By nominating Rao, Trump seemingly announced his desire to shut senators out of the room where it happens in each federal agency"

Well if we can't trust senators to not vote against their own interests we're doomed.

at least this position isn't important right?
"The Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA)—which oversees the entire regulatory process across nearly all federal agencies."

****ing great.

So not only they gonna kill a bunch of regulations, but it'll be incredibly difficult if it's even possible at all to get them back. WAAF.

As someone who has been in the DMZ, it's not the kind of place where you go off script.

mike pence doesn't fear death because he believes worshiping a 2000-year-old carpenter makes him immortal. that's why trump sent him to korea instead of going himself.

Trump remarked, "Whether you’re trying to win a Super Bowl or rebuild our country, as Coach Belichick would say, ‘There are no days off.’"

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said the U.S. is mulling whether it should restore North Korea to the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

What terrorists have they sponsored? Seriously, I have no idea.

About that very powerful armada, can't they just make a phone call? Why didn't they look at that green circle thing with the radar blip? That way they could see which direction it was going and not look like complete and utter incompetents.

President Nicolas Maduro may be struggling to feed Venezuela but his socialist administration still managed to make a $500,000 donation to Donald Trump's inauguration, records released Wednesday show.

Inaugural committee records filed with the Federal Election Commission show Citgo Petroleum, a U.S. affiliate of Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA, was one of the biggest corporate donors to events surrounding the swearing-in ceremony.

Wait, wasn't there a story last week about Russia's Rosneft looking to buy Citgo Petroleum out in an effort to circumvent the sanctions blocking Rosneft and Exxon from doing business a few years ago? Coincidence again, I'm sure.
