I hate that one of the things I dislike most about this ******* is that he doesn't grammar good, but **** me, he provides the impression that we are a land of ****ing idiots.

A lot of dumb people support him. He speaks their language. They're a significant portion of eligible voters and he motivated them, and he continues to do so.

On the whole, we are. How else to explain his win?

Trump is going to start paying for China to do what is in it's best interest. What a cuck.
So a huge percentage of his entire campaign was how we are being ****ed by the Chinese, and within 100 days, hes offering them better trade deals than the last admin?

Story checks out. Total cuck

Mason is over in the pokercast thread saying Trump is like Milton Friedman. Freidman being a famous supporter of border tariffs, protectionism and deficit spending.

How can people who pretend to be intelligent be so intellectually dishonest?

It's hard to think of a recent presidential candidate who is less like Freidman than Trump.

Benghazi-obsessed Trump MIA on key security post
After criticizing Hillary Clinton relentlessly, the president has yet to nominate a State Department official charged with keeping diplomats safe.

Wrt the Georgia election, has anyone pointed out that this is another case of trump having no clue what congress does?

Next time we decide to remove a dictator from power, we should replace them with Trump. The people of that nation get treated slightly better, Trump gets more money & power, we get a new POTUS. Everybody wins!

I still find it hilarious that the worst the Ossoff attack ads can say is that he's a LIBERAL.

Unfortunately, I think the election will go like this: Ossoff gets the most votes with something like 42%. Handel (R) and Hill (R) will get the next most, maybe around 20% each. Ossoff will then lose the runoff.

There's also a race for State Senate. I have no idea who to vote for in that. There are three Democratic candidates and all seem to be pretty much the same when it comes to the issues. Only one really gives any details on his stances on his website. I might just vote for the one who has publicized himself the most just because that might mean he has a better chance to win. I know that's lame, but in these races, rallying behind the front-runner might be more important than voting for the ideal candidate.

For ~40% of the country, that's all they need to know they hate him.

It has been pointed out this morning by a few people that Trump probably actually knows less about geopolitics than the average voter.

Careful now, einbert. If Trump learns any more about KJU he might start idolizing him like he does with Putin, Assad, Erdogan and other similar scums (while continuing to attack Americans and our "good" allies).

EDIT: Is he going to start those opposite Tuesdays anytime soon?

I finally listened to Marc Maron's 800th podcast ep where he interviews Jeff Ross. Ross was at least friendly with Trump at one point, he roasted Trump twice I think (once televised) and while I don't think Ross is a big fan of Trump's politics, he warned that people are making a mistake by underestimating Trump. Ross also noted that the last time he saw Trump he (Trump) was dipping a hamburger in mayonnaise between bites.

Any of you guys follow the markets? Gold and bond yields at highest/lowest levels since before the election not to mention Goldman Sachs had pretty awful earnings. All the "Trump trades" are deader than dead right now.
04-18-2017 , 11:57 AM
Don't think I would call the private prison "Trump trades" deader than dead by any means, sadly.

No, not quite. For medical doctors, it is their job title. It succinctly explains what they do. Calling a PhD holder "Dr" gives no hints as to occupation, and may confuse readers unaware of the academic tradition.

Lol private prisons are such an insignificant part of the market but sure that isn't dead (yet...).

Yeah, it is going to be very interesting when the budget stuff comes out and Daddy has to reconcile all that deficit talk.
04-18-2017 , 12:10 PM
Here is how budget is going to go:

Trump comes out with crazy budget.

Freedom Caucus is upset because spending is too high.

Trump makes it even crazier.

Moderate republicans walk away.

Trump gets angry that not one democrat is supporting his budget.

Government shuts down.

I don't know what happens next. If the FC refuses to cooperate then Trump needs democrat votes - but he will of course not want to create a budget that democrats would accept.

Goldman Sachs has gone from a high of $260 just a couple months ago to $215 now, anyone buying when they can't make money due to no interest margin?

Maybe Trump is really a Chinese agent? Destroy the USA, China takes over?

If it's not an executive order or something rammed/snuck through, he can't get it done. Health care, budget, tax reform, infrastructure, whatever. Nothing this man does seems to stand up to scrutiny.
