It's reminding your neighbors that the disastrous Trump administration isn't an abstract thing happening somewhere else, it's a hopelessly dysfunctional and corrupt federal government that is inflicting major damage all across the country, right now. Funding that directly benefits our cities and towns is being cut. Regulations that keep our air and water clean are being eliminated. Families are being torn apart by cruel and arbitrary immigration rules. This is happening, and it is happening locally. We are all being affected.

Effective protests are primarily a numbers game. The most important thing is to just show up. You don't need to chant if you don't want to. You don't even need a sign. All you have to do is set aside a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon and mill about in the crowd, and you'll probably enjoy it. Spend a bit of time away from your Twitter feed and #resist IRL. It's good for you, and it's good for the country.

The bromance could very easily have just changed recently.

I love when old white dudes try to tell black people racism is dead.

Trump's 59-missile strike in Syria increased his job approval by 1%

New poll: No big bump for Trump approval after Syria airstrike
Quote:
Thirty-nine percent of registered voters approve of Trump’s job performance, just a one-point difference from when Marist last reported it one week prior to the U.S. air strikes in Syria. This according to 1,069 adults polled this week, before Thursday’s announcements that the U.S. dropped a massive bomb on an Islamic State compound in Afghanistan and that it mistakenly killed 18 soldiers from a U.S.-backed rebel force battling the Islamic State.

At one point during the campaign, when Trump wanted to speak more substantively about China, he gave Kushner a summary of his views and then asked him to do some research. Kushner simply went on Amazon, where he was struck by the title of one book, Death by China, co-authored by Peter Navarro. He cold-called Navarro, a well-known trade-deficit hawk, who agreed to join the team as an economic adviser. (When he joined, Navarro was in fact the campaign’s only economic adviser.) Kushner operated in much the same way when it came to crafting Trump’s tax plan—calling up someone for help out of the blue. Given the initial absence of pros who could do the job properly, he also tried his hand at writing speeches. Responding to criticism from the boss (“Jared, this is terrible!”), Kushner said, according to a person familiar with the episode, “I’m not a ****ing speechwriter. I am a real-estate guy.”

Like 60 more and he'll be at 100%.

What do those approval ratings measure? Do we know what percentage of respondents are voters?

What we really need is for him to get great news coverage and ratings from the 180s he's been pulling. If he blindly reversed all his current stances he would be a better President than if he thought about each issue independently.

ISIS death count from the MOAB is up from 36 to 94 now. Trump still unsure if he wants to take credit for it yet.

Once it goes over 100 he'll take all the credit.

Militarily, Trump hasn't been challenged on any of his threats yet, and he hasn't had to back down from any "red line" positions yet. I'm honestly not sure if he has the ability to handle either situation. Avoiding war for a few days has sure been easy...

This is very solid, but you should have stopped at 'cattle mode'. Brevity is... wit.

Looks like all the latent homoeroticism culminated in a bukakke.
