Hopefully enough people realize that Spicer is a side show to distract people from bad **** going on that actually matters.

People need to ignore that guy's gaffes and report on serious issues.
04-13-2017 , 01:21 PM
Cue side show

Trump's just gotta play with all the toys he has. No sense in not using all the cool **** we got.

Hope nobody tells him about that vial of Smallpox they kept.

Fake news, everyone knows this is impossible, Trump is a germophobe.

Probably related to this.

One source suggested the official investigation was making progress. “They now have specific concrete and corroborative evidence of collusion,” the source said. “This is between people in the Trump campaign and agents of [Russian] influence relating to the use of hacked material.”

It uses gridfins to guide itself, it's actually very precise considering how insanely huge it is.

It creates a mile wide crater though, so precision is essentially meaningless.

Spicey, please tell us more about this Easter egg hunt

Nah I don't think that the idea originated or even had anything to do with Trump. It's the military playing with its toys. Guaranteed that the explanation to Trump involved at least one guy miming a bomb explosion with his hands with the other guy making sound effects. In any case, let's hope there were no civilians nearby and the military has its head screwed on straight. Dead terrorists are fine, dead wedding guests, not so much.

Everyone else finds Spicer's criticism of Assad using WMDs and the statement that the US government used its biggest non-nuclear bomb in the same 2 minute window, absolutely amazing, right?

I don't think mile wide crater is exactly right. Maybe impact area.

Military officials have stated that policies have not changed, yet there is escalation on all fronts. Perhaps it's Trump, perhaps others in the administration, or perhaps others lower in the chain of command feel as empowered as an ICE agent.

No. Conventional bombs used in the mountains is nothing like chemical weapons being used in the cities.
04-13-2017 , 01:44 PM
If an ISIS tunnel complex was the target why not a bunker buster rather than a non penetrator weapon?
WH claims that all precautions were taken to avoid civilian deaths. What did they do? Drop leaflets saying "RUN"?

You're right, it's a "blast radius stretching a mile in each direction". Either way, precision guidance isn't a huge deal.

Trump knows to drop bombs on Thursday the last day people pay attention to the news before going into weekend inattention mode.

I'd say it's all the way down. McChrystal got canned for sh*t talking, Mattis left for not getting on board with Obama, etc. My assumption is that Trump doesn't have the capability to understand any of the intricacies and trade offs if they're presented to him. He's your drunk uncle yelling, "why can't we just bomb the ragheads to oblivion?", so he'll do whatever the military says as long as they use bright pictures and small words.

But, it was surely precision guided and didn't kill any babies.
And it was UNmanned!

When asked about the 4 major 180s from Trump yesterday (NATO, China, Russia, Syria), Spicey basically replied "It's not Trump who changed, it's everyone else."

And another classic Spicey lie:

It's not like POTUS didn't say the exact opposite yesterday.

He's just negotiating. You start with the biggest bomb then you work a great deal.
