So my issue with this is it kinda implies that if the numbers on top looked like the numbers on the bottom that the ban would be justified.

Attacking from the middle cedes ground to drooling ******s on the right who don't deserve it. The ban is bigoted. Unless you think there's a number on the right column that could feasibly be big enough to justify a ban, don't highlight the numbers IMO.

I want to believe these rogue government twitter accounts are real, but kind of horrified if they are, too.

What happens if Priebus resigns? Is that enough of a shock that Republican congresspeople grow a spine? Or just a chance to fill the COS position with the next horrible person?

There was a supposed White House leaker (twitter account disappeared within hours) earlier in the week, and one of his tweets said Priebus had almost resigned already and Ryan walked him back from the ledge.

Trump (and/or his henchman) probably have hotels or businesses in some of those bottom 4 countries. They keep using 9/11 as the prime reason for this horrific ban, yet NONE of the 9/11 hijackers came from countries on their ban list. And to my knowledge NONE of the media has questioned them on that one little fact.

Even if I were indifferent to the humanity of it all, Trump's policies on immigration are economically short-sighted. People underestimate the extent to which the US benefits from brain drain, especially in STEM industries. People who assume that the US will always be one of the first choices for highly intelligent, high achieving immigrants, no matter how hostile the government is to immigration, are delusional.

That ecosystem is more fragile than it seems.
