Like, it's not just that he's a liar it's that he's just so amazingly bad at it.

It's almost admirable.
Tillerson an exception here, but he's not the type of loser who was involved with a third rate campaign based on incoherent resentments. Those people love to be on TV.

It's funny, now that Trump is in office the battleship is starting to turn 180 and is headed full steam toward, "Why didn't anyone tell us all the BS we made up during the campaign would not only not work but would be actively harmful? I mean Fox and Friends said we were great!"

During a joint news conference Wednesday afternoon with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Trump professed that his criticisms prompted the alliance to make changes that satisfied his concerns--though he did not specify what those were.

“I complained about that a long time ago, and they made a change — and now they do fight terrorism,” Trump said. “I said it was obsolete. It's no longer obsolete.”

It's unclear what changes the president was referencing. NATO added a new assistant secretary general position focused on intelligence and security in July, although experts say the change does not mark a major shift for the organization and point out that NATO has long addressed concerns of terrorism. For months after the position was created, Trump continued to call NATO obsolete.
It seems like some the media's bewilderment at Trump's statements can be attributed to the fact that the media has a baseline knowledge of things and where the fit into the world, like NATO's evolving role versus the way Trump communicates which is as if any information he receives popped into existence the instant he read it. So CNN is confused because NATO hasn't made any recent changes to its mission about terrorism because everyone already knows that that's part of what they've been focusing on as part of their mission but Trump has just had someone explain it to him yesterday, which means, at least as he communicates it, that NATO has suddenly decided to focus on terrorism a day ago or something.

Hey Cheese, remember when you asked me if I would call Trump a weak pussy if he didn't take any action after Assad crossed the line once again?

Spoiler:
I do remember. You have no comment, because there is no comment for you to make. YOUR point was that Obama was a weak pussy because he didn't follow through on "red line." I asked if you would have any intellectual consistency if Trump did nothing. Trump didn't quite do nothing (close to nothing, though, by most reports), so your intellectual consistency was not tested. You may still be an intellectually bankrupt buffoon. No evidence has been presented to the contrary.

Some bloomberg journalist on Greta said Bannon is gonna resign

Greta Van Susteren ✔ @greta
.@carlsonmargaret: A WH source told me today that Bannon will probably get the message & resign; he won’t be fired –FTR #ForTheRecord @MSNBC

Does seem like Trump is trying to pivot to mainstream Republican.

Trump's position on everything is "what is right this second, the best thing for me to say or do"

that's what's confusing people. Ivanka didn't get him to drop bombs because of the children, but because she thought it'd look good for him to do it. This narrative that ivanka isn't anything other than a piece of **** herself; well I'd bet they are wrong.

Trump still isn't pivoting, but the generals/neo cons seem to be throwing the white supremacists the hell out of there. His loyalty is to his golden child first and foremost and she and her husband are only gaining power atm.

I guess that's one less BS thing to worry about, but goddamnit on the part that this seems to escalate war chances and his authoritarianism.

Missiles got the GOP crotches so wet bro

Hey it seems that maybe Page is on the shows because he doesn't want to get murdered. I'm not sure how getting on shows helps him not get murdered but I think that might be a reason why he thinks he needs to show his face on tv.

I don't believe it is sincere bewilderment. Can journalists of all people really have that bad of a bull**** detector to believe Trump was speaking from a position of knowledge before? I don't think so. And the op ed pages are full of excoriations of Trump's absurd pronouncements.

The apparent bewilderment in the reporting has more to do with a bizarre fairness doctrine, in the sense that they give other leaders the benefit of the doubt. That and speculating as to what he means and what secret info he could be privy to gets more traction than "lol Trump. Moving on..."

I'm not sure if Trump is ACTUALLY flip-flopping, as opposed to just constantly believing the last thing he heard is true, the last person he met is the best, and so on. He's like a child. We saw this sometimes during the campaign.

He meets with Xi, he suddenly realizes China can't do as much as he thought on North Korea, but he likes them more now. They're not currency manipulators.

He meets with the Secretary General and suddenly NATO is not obsolete.

He's always sucking up to the last person he met, the next person he'll meet, etc. Out of sight, out of mind.

I don't think he actually has any policy ideas or goals to flip flop on. He just goes where the wind blows him each day.

I don't understand why they're using 2013 vs 2017 as their gotcha stats. It would be better to show polling from days before the strike, when the White House's position was of complete non-involvement. I bet you still see GOP support under 40%.

It's because he is a truly stupid person totally incapable of understanding the most basic policy.

Republicans make it a point to just do what's opposite of dems regardless of what it is.

An Oklahoman congressman is under fire after he seemingly dismissed the notion that his constituents pay for him to go to Congress, calling the idea “bullcrap” in a viral video making the rounds on social media.

Markwayne Mullin, speaking at a town hall Tuesday in Jay, Oklahoma, was responding to a question from the audience when he responded to a claim that constituents pay for him to work in Congress.

“You say you pay for me to do this. Bullcrap. I pay for myself. I paid enough taxes before I got there and continue to through my company to pay my own salary. This is a service. No one here pays me to go,” said the 39-year-old Republican who represents Oklahoma’s second district, which covers much of the eastern part of the state.

When several audience members pushed back against this claim, Mullin went on, “I’m just saying this is a service for me, not a career, and I thank God this is not how I make my living.”
And....

Mullin also announced Tuesday night that he was canceling another town hall, citing safety concerns.

I'm pretty sure the 2013 poll was taken after the last time Assad used chemical weapons, so it shows that Rs weren't ready to break out the missiles to express outrage over the use of that type of weapon...

Maybe he'll drop from 70% of the vote to 65% in 2018 for that gaffe. Keep up the good work, GOP voters!

Breitbart is losing its collective **** and its pretty funny. Example A.

Hey guy ..... Was Trump not supposed to repeal Obamacare the first week after stepping into the WH ???? And was he not supposed to label China a currency manipulator and BRING THE JOBS BACK ???????

If you open your eyes ... What you will see is a "President" running away from the people that gave him the power ...... We were told repeatedly that the guy was a serial liar .....

What does it take for you to wake up ????

is simple really .... IF WE ALL STAND TOGETHER AND TALK TO OUR REPRESENTATIVES AND DELIVER TO HIM A FIRM MESSAGE ......... IF YOU THINK WE WILL SUPPORT YOU AS PRESIDENT WITHOUT DELIVERING ON YOUR PROMISES ...... WE WILL MAKE SURE THAT YOUR "PRESIDENCY" ENDS UP WORST THAN OBAMA'S .....

I am a fool to no one ...... I hope a lot of you feel the same way .
04-12-2017 , 10:55 PM
The klan is maaaaaaaadddd.....

What about North Korea ?

Where is the plan , what the hell are you talking about ?

What wall ? where is the money or the legislation ??

What taxes ... again where is the talk and legislation initiatives ???

Are you like mental ???? You think things happen just because the Orange LIAR that we have in office simply tweets it ???

HE SHOULD HAVE LONG AGO STARTED THE HARD WORK THAT IT TAKES TO FORM THE CONSENSUS REQUIRED TO PASS HIS AGENDA ...... NOT GOING TO PLAY GOLF EVERY WEEK AT MAR-LAGO
