What’s odd to me, in general people dislike police and lawyers but love tv shows and movies about police and lawyers.

31, accountant. Fell into utility regulation after barely knowing it existed as a field through college. I consider myself extremely lucky, because its really interesting and useful work and every other form of accounting work strikes me mind numbingly dull.

Yeah, first thing that went through my mind was, "Why Pittsburgh?". If the White House were doing these kind of advanced notice things (but why would they be doing them at all?) then surely NYC and Washington DC would be first on the list. Pittsburgh would be low down on the list.

idk how imminent/likely a Mueller firing is, but the rapid response protests are very real and will be absolutely everywhere if he does get fired.

I can def see someone in the administration leaking that sort of thing out, but it would surely be leaked to like the NYT or CNN and not some police department.

Yeah, it's probably just someone in Pittsburgh trying to be on top of the possibility, knowing it's something that could happen soon.

Can you outline the difference between utility regulation and normal accounting? I'm in motor fuel tax myself which is a pretty constantly changing line which keeps me on my does, though there is plenty of the everyday accounting doldrums that go with it.

As long as it's the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris.

Agree on the derail.

I'm 37 and a slum landlord.
Was supposed to be fixing the middle east this year but instead I'm watching 25th Hour as part of research for a new project I may soon become involved in.
Forum rates from any of our lawyers (criminal defence only)?

Mid 30's. Constant FT employment is still flying helicopters but my current responsibilities consist almost entirely of being on call outside of the office and I'm never actually called in. Sometimes I go a month+ without actually doing anything (on salary though so I get paid either way). I've picked up additional work programming, I get fed as much steady part time remote work as I want, and I've also taken some on site jobs if the schedule is flexible enough. Almost all engineering type applications.

The advice-giving practice is not what lawyers do though. It's risky because you could be sued if you're wrong, and it doesn't take very long so you don't even make much money from it.
So how do you recommend that someone get sound, practical advice on legal matters if lawyers aren't in the advice-giving practice?

Comey is no worse then 50/50 to enter the Democratic Primary and a mortal lock to win if he does.

My early pick for the Dem ticket in 2020 is Comey/Bush.

Nice.

Window and gutter cleaning business. I also do videography for Microsoft part of the year. I’m dropping 30k into a indie ww2 film this month. Hopefully my money won’t get lit on fire lol glgg. We shoot for 3 weeks starting Friday. Avid club sandwich eater.

Eric “Hot Cock” Holder has hinted on a run in 2020. Comey/Holder?

I take in homeless men that I have befriended, take out life insurance policies on them and them run over them with my car. Did one year at NYC Law school and decided it wasn't for me.

Meh, law enforcement get these kind of alerts constantly.

There’s BOLO/Alerts floating around constantly for stuff like “Antifa civil war” and cartel border invasion on Breitbart and whatnot if you look for it.

Yup. Law enforcement are some of the biggest conspiracy theory wackos out there.

No indication it was a notice from the White House of federal government. Organization has been underway for a long time now to protest if mueller gets fired, all over the country.

Could be that combined with other information that might make them think a firing is imminent.
