The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

Re: the judge thing

This is why life time appointments are a terrible idea. Just have judges serve a ten year (or whatever) term and stipulate they can be appointed to a higher court afterwards.

Yea, when did that become law? It makes sense when life expectancy was 50, not 80.

In the Constitution so would require an amendment to change.

Congress could at least increase the size of SCOTUS though so it would matter less there.

Comey is a turd, but the telegraphed GOP plan to try to discredit him by calling him a liar seems really, really bad.

He's like the second most credible figure out there behind Mueller.

That amazing post is the politics equivalent of "he either has it, or he doesn't, it's 50-50 like always."

Maddow already gave Comey cover when she broadcast Boente's handwritten notes which corroborate what Comey told Congress.

Meanwhile Devin Nunes is literally trying to have Rosenstein and Wray impeached ffs

Washington Post reporting of a possible payoff for an illegitimate child now.

Yes well neither does he, that's kind of the point. He's just flailing about doing things without a plan.

His foreign policy is basically "Hulk SMASH!"

Thank you America.

Now can the President of the United States stop tweeting and acting like a 10 year old?

Yeah well the Trump allies are trying to spin it that the investigation is a partisan witch hunt, and thus give him cover to shut it down on that basis. Hence the attacks on the DOJ and the FBI.

And the media is of course required to for some reason give that position air time as though it has actual merit, instead of reporting it for what it is, namely a shameless political attack on the government's law enforcement arm in an effort to let a criminal go free. Because if they don't they'll get accused of 'bias'.

The sickest part of all is that they might really get away with it.

Party of family values. Pay off some random you slept with behind your wife's back, get her pregnant and ignore the rest of the responsibility. Slap some NDA into place.

Just like Jesus would have done, huh talibangelicals?

It's a Ronan Farrow story, just more taunting from the architects of the simulation.

2/3 of Americans couldn't pick Paul Ryan out from a lineup. Most of those who could think he's a responsible figure.

But, while normal politics and policy does not penetrate the culture, people understand illegitimate kids and playing hus money to porn stars.
04-12-2018 , 11:20 AM
lol at thinking paying hush money for an illegitimate child would stick to Trump. Evangelicals will be all "family man Donald Trump supports his children. All his children, what a great guy. Why he gave this lady 250k a year to help support their child. Good!"
04-12-2018 , 11:22 AM
I'm not seeing the significance of a story about a rumor that Trump had an illegitimate kid, unless maybe the Enquirerer broke campaign finance law by using catch and kill, and possibly coordinated with Cohen. Of course it's a big deal if it's true. And a huge deal if the kid's name is covfefe.
04-12-2018 , 11:24 AM
yeah thank goodness we have the Washington Post to publish important Trump illegitimate child rumors. DEMOCRACY DIES IN DARKNESS

Ya or tied up in the basement of Trump Tower, where he subsists on Baby Ruth bars provided to him by Barron during periodic visits.

Even portraying Trump a some "criminal" is downplaying him a helluva lot.

Because he doesn't just obstruct justice, he obstructs justice dozens of times.

He doesn't just tamper with one witness, he tampers with 10 of them.

He doesn't just violate one emolument...

He doesn't just campaign-pay one porn star...

Launder one money...

Grab one pussy...

Etc etc.
