There's nothing uniquely terrible about awval. I think it's important to realize that he's just a normal, slightly dull, every day guy who happens to support reprehensible politicians and policy. He isn't a monster, and there are millions like him. It's the banality of awval.

I came up with the phrase "banality of awval" weeks ago, but haven't found a good place for it yet and I've grown impatient so I'm shoehorning it in here.

The entire 82nd mission set is GRF and securing DZs for follow on forces.

The point is that there are military units on stand by 24/7, 365 and if called upon they could be there in less than 24 hours.
