Saw him do a photo op with that alien looking Dutch dude, too. Why is everyone of these people ugly as sin? Master race, indeed.

dlk9s,

Probably worth it to throw up a GA6 thread just to keep this thread clear / discussion of Ossof v. Handel directed and uninterrupted. It may only be a matter of time until Trump is claiming it was rigged I think things are looking good, and at the very least not bad.

I figure you can throw together a better quick OP than me, on my way out for a bit.

Ossoff with a small lead now on predictit but still a virtual toss up given what can happen.

They hate globalism but here's pictures of all of us trying to force the world to our views!

I think this also factors in that he wins a runoff (like 25% chance?).

Ok, forget my comment from earlier about the official GA elections page updating at the same time as the NYT. Oddly, the NYT is way ahead right now.

I looked up the recent Kansas results to get a sense of what the turnout is like for these things. Around 120k votes total, but there was one county which had 62 votes cast. Literally 62, as in ten less than six dozen. Lol Kansas.
04-18-2017 , 08:33 PM
122K people voted in the Kansas special election couple weeks back.
326K voted in the standard GA-6 election in November, which obviously sees increased turnout b/c it's a Presidential year.

How many do we figure we get here? 175K, 200K? Gotta figure 100K votes for Ossoff seals 50+%, no?

This election was super heavily hyped. I'm figuring around 50% turnout, which would mean Ossoff needs ~115k votes to lock it up.

Made a quick GA6 thread.

Now a 2/1 lead. Much more significant...

Kind of surprising that Bernie Sanders is most popular with African Americans and Hispanics and least popular with Whites

Sure, but vaccines weren't discovered because the USA wanted to flex it's muscles internationally. That was the crux of the original discussion, with America being the "world leader."

The USA is really mediocre at healthcare/education, the backbone of most quality of life research. Not sure why you think the USA could be top 10 when it is disastrous at both of these things.

Mid-80s and partly cloudy here in Fla. Had a solid 42 on the front, but blew up with a 55 on the back.

edit: oh and forgot to mention that two guys in my foursome were from Canada. one of them has been coming down to Florida for winters for the past 30 years. but Canada is the best!

Based on my real life experience and I think perhaps generally in California that's doesn't seem like a surprise at all. The Bernie events here were definitely majority non-white. I think Bernie's problem wasn't being disapproved of by African Americans and Hispanics, just being not very well known.

edit: That poll includes Republicans, so that would drag down the white score.

ligastar,

Education is tricky. In the context aoFrantic was talking about, quality of life for the general population, I think you should look at things other than the top universities.

Not surprising at all, because the white figure includes like 90% of American Republicans. If you filter to just Dems, over 80% of white Dems must approve of Sanders.

I'm always surprised when Americans are surprised that their institutions are like, very rarely top 10 in much of anything beyond defense spending/incarceration.

Like, this dude is legit shocked that the USA education system is in a bad place. Can we get him to watch The Wire season 4 or something?
