He probably told them on Day 1 not to bother him about that again. And gave blanket approval.

It would open the door for the New World Alliance of Russia, the United States, Syria and Iran.

Don't be surprised if the Trump administration doesn't try to undermine NATO in a very serious way with more talk about nobody else pulling their weight as they edge us out the door.

I'm fine if trump puts in his own security and intelligence community as long as there are people smart enough to protect our current security and Intel infrastructure and could be managed in opposition to Trump.

Of course that would require some advanced republican complicity and some long range thinking so it probably won't happen and we will have a compromised and weak Intel and Security system protecting the country.

Edit: Re the security force. Leaving the UN would be super disruptive, but more globally than domestically. I assume it's not going to happen? There are enough sane Republicans in one of the houses.

this way it doesn't look so obvious when the US supports all of russia's proposals in the security council

the US leaving the UN would have severely destabilize the global order, which is exactly what putin wants, so it's likely to happen
