I dunno why everyone assumes the teachers would be outmatched. They have a huge advantage of numbers if trained to operate as a team. That would also solve the issue of what to do with the teachers who can't be trained to be good shooters. Nerdy science teacher? Let them serve as breachers. Get some dog handlers and medics too. You wouldn't just give all the teachers a gun and expect them to take on an active shooter 1 on 1. That would be ridiculous.

Virtually none of them can be trained to be adequate shooters in a shootout, same goes for cops, same goes for the vast majority of humans. I'd imagine it's because it's too nerve wracking, and shaky hands don't make for accurate shots. And lol @ nerdy science teacher, they're all nerdy! As if English teachers would be any better.

trump is on tv fantasizing about general kelly teaching a history class to kids with a concealed firearm on his hip. and that in itself would prevent a school shooting

Meh, if the pace at which these shootings are occurring through the first two months of 2018 does not subside then the NRA/GOP don't have any hope of this conversation falling out of the news.

Risen was generous on this point. It's pretty clear Greenwald isn't just being a bad communicator on this, he's openly disingenuous. He's ikesing.

I mean yeah I don't watch ****ing Tucker and Fox news, but I do read Greenwald. Reading his actual articles and missing his, uh, Fox News appearances seems pretty reasonable yo. It's like the opposite of ill-informed. So people who see Greenwald on Fox news are going to get misled? NO ****, THEY'RE ALREADY WATCHING FOX NEWS! Again, not that Greenwald should go on Fox News and criticize the Mueller investigation, that's bad and I won't defend it.

I'm not completely convinced they even want it out of the news. They are desperate and vulnerable this election year, and they know it. Nothing drives the idiots in their base to the polls like THE GUN GRABBERS ARE COMING TO GRAB YOUR GUNZ!!!
