In all fairness, there is a good chance the bribe brought them to the hotel originally, but the absolutely gorgeously appointed lobby brought them back.

Fox News and Republicans love to virtue signal Benghazi—they don’t really care tho or else they’d be up in arms over Syria and Somalia too.

My solitary vocal Trump supporter Facebook friend started WW3 on my wall today. I posted a joke about Gillette (Anyone offended by the Gillette commercial should probably go ahead and boycott Gillette because they’re too thin skinned to use those products anyways) and my deplorable friend called it a disgusting ad full of mysandry, and so like 50 of my other friends stopped by and dunked on him. He got super upset and defensive—I wonder if any part of him realized how asinine his views are after all that?

“Try to behave responsibly and not like a crazy maniac” is a direct attack on conservative republicans

Trump’s company won the lease several years before he became president. After Trump was elected, the agency had to decide if his company would be allowed to keep its lease.

At that time, the inspector general found, the agency should have determined if the lease violates the Constitution’s emoluments clauses, which bar presidents from taking payments from foreign governments, or individual U.S. states. But it did not, according to the report issued Wednesday.

“We…found that [the agency] improperly ignored these Emoluments Clauses, even though the lease itself requires compliance with the laws of the United States, including the Constitution,” said the report.

This reminded me of awval going for a watered down $22 cocktail and raving about the beauty of the atrociously decorated lobby

Loooooooool awval

so now that house R's have learned they don't have to let the D pres speak, if that scenario of R house/D pres happens again do they allow him to speak or tell him to **** off.

Think they'd prefer speaking so they can yell at him like the O era during it and crow to the base but they also like doing things then saying "DEMS STARTED IT" so I'm not really sure how this is gonna go.

Just the silence on Twitter to being told to GTFO of the house for SOTU is super telling.

This is a big story and I hope it gets traction.

If the former president of Mexico gets $100m, wonder how much Trump got from Putin?

19.5% of rosneft iirc

Think it’s more like the commission on that 19%. Maybe that’s what the .5% is - the commission? I forget exactly what I read before about it.

From what I remember I don't think the implication was that he got the 19.5%. I think Steele said he was getting the brokerage fee for the 19% sale and the assumption is that the extra 0.5% was added on as the brokerage fee to Trump. Even if this happened the 0.5% was over $200 million

I was holding out the slimmest of hope for Romney. He confirmed today that he is Flake 2.0 by going with the gop/putin herd and voting against upholding Deripaska sanctions. Even Marco found it in his heart to jump over for this one.

I thought I heard something like $256M for the Rosneft number.

WTF is the Senate doing? I've been a bit out of touch, did they have a ****ing filibuster to block the Deripaska vote? These ****ing Russia slappies. The one news clip I saw was someone saying that thinking Russia has dirt on these people is nonsense. Or not, comrade. Have a look at what these ****os are doing!

The reporting on this SOTUA is weird, and I wonder if sexism is at play. All the reports are like "Pelosi suggests postponing the speech, "Pelosi asks Trump to delay the address," etc. Like, the letter was super polite but Nancy isn't really "asking" or "suggesting" anything, she's straight telling Trump that his speech is off until the shutdown is over.

Katlan gets it:

Pretty sure I’m gonna stop using YouTube. Almost seems like every other prevideo is that fat orange mongoloid shilling for money with his nonsense propaganda and I can’t skip for 15 seconds

I’m guessing more like trump calls all of Mexico corrupt and declares war.

Don Jr. had a pretty good shot at Pelosi about the SOTU when h-

01-16-2019 , 07:36 PM
Yes he was offered the brokerage of it, not all 19%

The 0.5% added to it is about 277M or about what Trump owes Deutchse Bank, who launders money for Russia and was raided recently.

That raid or Trump’s tax returns could give insight into if his loan was paid off or not.

It was already confirmed that Russia hacked the RNC as well as the DNC, but they didn’t release anything on republicans, thus Kompromat

I once had a patient who returned from a trip to NC with a present for me-- a Bojangles biscuit, since she often said what she missed the most about home was Bojangles.

Unfortunately, biscuits don't travel well.

As experience under Trump has amply demonstrated, good judges are a bulwark against irrational, corrupt government. That's one reason conservatives fight so hard against them--good judges don't let them enact irrational policies.

Preventing rational evaluation of executive decisions inspired by religious ideology and white supremacy [or, in the case of Trump, religious ideology, white supremacy, stupidity, and corruption] is one of the leading motivations behind the "unitary executive" approach to presidential power embraced by conservative jurists.
This is a good post. Thank god they didn't let Ross get away with this. The blatant transgressions by Ross here were those of a lifelong, high-level grifter who is used to simply waving away laws and regulations. **** You, Wilbur. We're so ****ed if/when GOP judges start allowing all this crap.
