The "take Trump seriously, not literally" crowd has morphed into the "that's literally what we want" crowd

Is anybody out there proposing proportioning EVs by in-state % of the popular vote? I'm not sure what that would look like. You'd need 61% of the vote to grab 8/13 EVs?

Uh huh. Lol at calling that fake news. Fleischer was a former whps. He should learn to talk better. The quote was 100% accurate. He said it and he has not claimed otherwise. That he is upset they did not include a comment about another day is not fake news.

How do words work.

No one is proposing that because that is in fact what it would look like. You could forget about any Presidential candidate caring about your state

Yep. A bunch of swing states with Republican leadership(due to gerrymandering and off-year elections) are looking to do the same thing.

The GOP has won one popular vote for President in the past 7 elections, and it was very close. They know which way the tide is going.

You actuall already explained it in your post. The law is much more likely to disqualify dems.

And analogies to actual crime laws is not logical bc voting is a right.

He doesn't care.

"Poll taxes apply to everyone equally, I don't get how you can say it's a partisan thing"

The Congressional District proposal is also a lock 7-6 vote, with an outside chance of 8-5 if Loudoun County continues to explode in population and look more like Fairfax politically. As it stands right now, Clinton won by 4.5 points and the closest House district went Republican by almost 6 points.

I agree with this, but I haven't figured what the appropriate response is to this kind of stuff? Just ridicule? Laughter?

Very interesting.

What are the other options?

I don't know much about Nazis, so I've been reading "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich." Just yesterday, I was incredulously shaking my head at their idea that the only scientific truth was "German Chemistry" and "German Physics," and all the professors and scientists were forced to make sure their scientific results conformed to the "correct" political viewpoint. Preposterous!

Then today I saw this:

We need to obstruct what we can and then win in 2018. Seriously if 2018 isn't a Democratic wave election, I mean like flipping multiple state legislatures, 2020 is very likely going to be a Trump re-election.

But miajag is right, the odds of America having a coup or a civil war or widespread civil unrest all got a lot higher this week.

This was the moment of truth for all the "take Trump seriously, not literally" and "he just wants to be a Good President with a Good Legacy" and "a pivot is coming" morons. Turns out Trump is what we thought he was, an authoritarian.
