Yeah people debating this too often ignore the fact that Trump is violating the constitution by revoking these clearances. It is blatant.

And I was having so much fun laughing at Gorka too. Dammit.

All the Trumptards cling to (it's the only argument they need) is deniability. Trump is just going to keep skating by.

eta: Papadopoulos only being recommended for (up to) 6 months, it's all very disheartening. Seems like this is all going to lack teeth.

I would be utterly lost trying to understand the news without lawyers around that are above Rudy/CNN/FOX level.

Lots of grade A material for the rally!

He can just plead to everything they have on him without getting any promised benefit, although it would be kind of odd to do that pre-arrest, which implies some sort of negotiation with the prosecutors.

It doesn't lack teeth completely. Even if it's one count of a campaign finance violation it'll be a felony conviction given the amount of money involved (any amount may be a felony, not sure exactly how the code sections read). He'll also be disbarred if he hasn't been already.

In any event he's extremely live for a pardon but that applies to all of them.

Re the pardon: could be that the Feds weren’t getting anywhere with him and just said screw it, let’s close it out and kick the rest to the AG or whatever.

Yeah it’s just a preface to a pardon.

Media should say cohen/manafort walk so trump doesn't pardon them.

Or it's just me wanting to have a good laugh at Trump blasting FAKE NEWS THOSE PEOPLE WHO ALL WORK FOR ME ARE GUILTY.

Infrastructure Week off to an amazing start.

Can we get a Manafort guilty verdict on 17/18 or 18/18 counts, AND a Cohen guilty plea with cooperation on the same afternoon? Trump will break Twitter.
08-21-2018 , 03:20 PM
Just in case, I hope the FBI is on the lookout for Ted Cruz' father when Cohen walks into court.
08-21-2018 , 03:45 PM
No way he's not cooperating. They aren't going to let Gene "Taxi King" Friedman and Cohen both get deals for minimal time if there is no one up the chain, so to speak. You can't have two mob enforcers rat out each other and then give them both minimal time. That would be beyond gutless. Hell, the feds cut a check for like a million just for the privilege review. They likely have evidence of many crimes and need someone to explain the docs.

Doesn't he have a rally tonight? I'm sure that's gonna sound super coherent and he totally will not go off the script.

edit--yes he does, we almost had flynn sentencing (got delayed), manafort indictment (jury still deliberating), AND cohen pleading guilty all in a day or two.

Looks like there's a lot of witches to me.

What kind of rally?

Will Micheal Cohen be joining the prisoners strike do you think?
