The Overton window has royally ****ed the left beyond all recognition. Best we can hope for is the Dems pull off a miracle win and install a noble-minded career Navy Seal war hero and your children get a more competently-staffed VA to give them physical therapy for their Iraq War IV injuries.
Bush isn't in charge anymore. its called the Iran war now.

I understand what you're saying, but let's worry about factions after we win the war. Right now we need all the allies we can get. You may not like these characters, but others do. The people who look up to these men might very well reconsider their support of Trump/Republicans.

Republicans have owned the image of national security/law enforcement for quite sometime so it's huge when leaders in these factions speak out against the de facto law and order party.

This problem that you speak of comes in two shades.

1.) the person is a sociopath
2.) the person was surrounded by sociopaths

basically the reason this did not occur to you was that your family and your friends were relatively nice to you. Like maybe it wouldve occured to you to worry about your brothers loyalty if you thought your brother was plotting to ruin your life.

They may hold their noses when they do it, but they're all voting for Trump.

And not just them. Trump is going to win Beverly Hills and Laguna Beach again in 2020.

Funny, my family of 7 had to share 1 bathroom growing up. I can definitely see the need for 20 bathrooms.

So what's the optimal response from liberals/Democrats regarding military and law enforcement leadership speaking out against Trump and Republicans?

"We agree with you, but **** off because XYZ"

This seems like another liberal purity test where we're snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Again, I get what he's saying. Don't bow down to suckle their balls because they dislike Trump, but also no need to make enemies of them.

7 is a lot for 1 bathroom. We have 4 for 1 now. One of my daughters probably counts as 3 though. I tell her, "you really put the hour in shower."

IMO sucking up to the warhawks is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. There are bunch of Republicans who hate Trump, but mostly they will vote for them. There are a LOT of people in the country who may or may not vote and they aren't looking for the lesser of two evils that they can hardly tell apart.

And again, this forum is not all that big a deal. We can talk **** about CIA Republicans against Trump all we want. The Democratic candidate for President in 2020 should be more circumspect. They should still oppose war, but they should avoid calling even CIA directors baby killing torture mongers.

I don't know that experience all that well. My bedroom always had its own bathroom. I can remember both bathrooms on the main floor being occupied and then having to go upstairs to my own bathroom though.

I just feel that after the twentieth bathroom it would be a waste of space.
08-17-2018 , 01:09 AM
well my life sucks way more now than it did when i was a kid. I didnt realize how good i had it. however i get sent to outward bound and peed on the dirt and pooped in the woods. for a whole month. it was awful.

Well 538 has my district as 51.8% v 48.2% for flipping from super generic Repub congressman to Democrat that has made national waves for her badass campaign. Guess I should sign up for even for hours to phonebank for her.

This is obviously an insane debate that only applies to zillionaires building mansions but obviously as the house scales larger, then it's logical the quantity of bathrooms has to scale with it. If you build a 27k sq ft home with like 3 bathrooms, you might have to walk a really long way just to take a piss. What's the point of being a billionaire, really, if you gotta run down a hallway for 5 minutes or go up and down a flight of stairs just to drop a deuce?

Bezos best, most self-promoting option would be to forgo having any toilets at all and install an Echo in every room and ask Alexa to same-day deliver a portable travel urinal each time he has to piss, then prove he's living UTI free because Amazon shipping is just that fast.

If I can't have ALL THE MONEY (and some strong guarantees about recouping lost investment capital) then I'll just take my replacement-level ball and go home.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As far as bathrooms go you don't have to be Bezos to live like royalty.

There were hardly any toilets at Versailles and with a court counting several thousand people it turned out to be more than a little problem. The servants, the commoners who came to look at their monarch even the aristocrats would occasionally relieve themselves in corners and courtyards though this was not as often as has later been implied. Visitors - including Horace Walpole - complained about the awful smell that hung over everything; even the gardens were not free for the hideous odour. Thanks to the many reports of ambassadors and foreign visitors the splendid palace became known as one of the filthiest in the world - not exactly what had been expected. The problem became so acute that Louis XIV put a new rule in place according to which the hallways were to be cleansed for faeces (if there was any) and dirt once every week. Also, many of the King's beloved orange trees were put into vases inside the palace in an attempt to mask the smells.

Many times in live poker I'd get told to check out some sun runner, and my question was always, "But can he play?" The answer was almost invariably no. Occasionally I'd sweat a player that, despite having a few weird quirks, really understood the game dynamics and completely wrecked the fish. Omarosa knows how to play.
