In case anyone was wondering why Nunes has been acting like he is compromised by Russia, it’s because he has been since well before Trump even announced he would run. A good breakdown here:https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/co...w2&sh=0b56ddd3

Do the rest of us really need to drop to his level of name calling? I'd like to think most people are above this as they reach adulthood even though I know everyone is not.

I’m in a FB argument with a trumpet that is going along these lines

Me. “Shocking that a president is taking bribes from Russians”

Him. “Yeah. What about the Clinton foundation”

He whines enough that 'Whiny Trump' would work. It would be so awesome if that stuck.
What's wrong with Cheeto Benito?

Unfortunately Trump can't reach anything because his hands are too small.

Pentagon report on Niger raid shows broad failures across a number of areas

Report is still classified, but the article has some details:

Quote:
The investigation found that the Green Beret team had not undergone key training as a unit before it deployed to Niger that fall because of “personnel turnover” and had not rehearsed its counterterrorism mission before leaving the base in Ouallam on Oct. 3. It said two junior officers had “mischaracterized” the mission in a required planning document filed before the American soldiers departed.

And it found that wounded soldiers — at least two Americans and three Nigeriens — were not evacuated from the attack site for more than four hours, far longer than the Pentagon previously acknowledged.

But the executive summary did not directly address why the team was relatively unequipped, including traveling in an unarmored S.U.V. that was not carrying a mounted machine gun. It did not specifically fault stark failures by the Army, the United States Africa Command and the Special Forces community for fatal gaps in training and oversight.

The summary also did not acknowledge that the Army officer who oversaw the inquiry, Maj. Gen. Roger L. Cloutier Jr., is a senior official in Africa Command — the same command he investigated. General Cloutier last month was promoted to head all Army forces in Africa.

So we're leaving the deal AND reimposing sanctions BUT Iran has to keep the inspections of its sites going?

Trump = Big Joan

When Big Joan sets up
Her hands are too small
She’s too fat t’ go out in the daylight
So she rolls around all night...

She ain’t built for goin’ naked
So she can’t wear any new clothes
Or go t’ the beach
They laugh at her body
Cause her hands are too small
When Big Joan sets up her hands are too smal

Ok. So we lost that part. But how much did we win?

and he's right. We have Glenn carrying on over multiple months about the hidden evils and back handed dealings of the Clintons, pointing out how their charity was used to try and garner favor though it was done publicly and no favored status could be shown though I think everyone can agree that it's potentially troubling, and yet when we find out that Trump's personal lawyer has been doing it in a much more compromising way while being much more secretive, Glenn just shrugs his shoulders and says "didn't you guys know everyone does this!". I mean maybe, but if that's the case why the big dust up about the Clintons? After all everyone does it.

The best deals are the one where they do all the work and you don’t pay them, everyone knows that.

Seriously though, just SOP for Trump businesses wrought large.

Avenatti's raised $430k through that website. Not bad for a couple of months of work (though not Michael Cohen type fees). Probably wouldn't cover his billables, but he's doing ok.

Sort of?

Like I guess there are two questions (a) did I do the horrible things? and (b) do you have the standing to punish me for them? and if (a) is not in doubt then asserting the answer to (b) is "no" is at least a somewhat valid defense.
