Pop psych based on my own experiences. I'm a lawyer. When people are accused of doing something wrong, there are a lot of possible reactions.

One that I have seen several times is when people have done something that they are ashamed of doing, they don't want to admit doing it. But actually flatly lying is hard for them. So what they'll do is deny that they are the SORT of people who would do that, they make an argument from character about a factual issue.

Yeah comey’s Book excerpts heavily reinforce how much of this is true based on how trump responded and behaved. Basically just another 5000 lb straw to put on the camel to go with all the others.

What’s so silly is we are arguing over minutae. There are a thousand valid reasons why Trump should be removed.

Turns out Comey was in charge of the FBI during the Plame investigation. This pardon is 100% Trump hearing Fox News's anti-Comey smear campaign on TV. Note that Scooter already had his sentence commuted and his law license restored, so this is just an action out of pure petty spite.

Also for the doorman at Trump tower it's pretty likely you take the money or lose your job and probably some other threats.
