The failure of this product is a win for the Trump admin.

Yeah, I think this is correct.
10-23-2018 , 02:27 PM
Presumably the investigations will end at some point with or without impeachment?
10-23-2018 , 02:38 PM
Why? The man is a bottomless pit of scandal.
10-23-2018 , 02:44 PM
Because as I understand it the current scope is possible collusion with Russia in the 2016 election.

Are you saying it's possible this could be extended?

Fox & Friends asked independent voters what they thought about the migrant caravan; it did not go as they planned

Imagine Trump's horror at his safe space showing him this lol

Quote:
“It’s north of apparently 7,000 people strong,” Doocy told the first independent voter, Michael Willner. “How big a problem is that, that the United States has uneven immigration laws?”

“I think uneven immigration laws are a problem for any country, and I think our immigration laws need to be modernized and updated,” Willner said.

“But this country is founded on immigration,” he continued. “And all of us come from immigrants.”

Doocy tried again.

“By the time it gets here, it could be 10,000. It could be 20,000,” he said. “What should the United States do?”

“This is the mightiest country on the planet,” Willner replied. “I think we can handle a caravan of people, unarmed, coming to this country.”

“Okay,” Doocy said, pointing to the second independent voter. “Cathy: real quick.”

“I think the immigration crisis we’re seeing is a result of the failure of the two democratic parties to actually engage the issue,” said Cathy Stewart, a vice president with Independent Voting.

“Mm-hmm,” said Doocy.

“Instead, they use it like a partisan football,” she continued.

“Sure,” said Doocy. And, moving on: “John, real quick.”

But John Opdyke continued the previous independent voters' line of thought.

“There’s a humanitarian crisis taking place in Central America, and yet this issue gets turned into a complete political football,” he said. “There’s very little honest discussion about what’s actually happening.”

“And Aaron?” Doocy said. His voice had fallen to something like a raspy whisper.

“Treating this as an ‘invasion’ is a bad idea, and it’s going to end horribly if it is treated such as that way,” said Aaron Commey, a libertarian and the final independent voter on the panel.

Doocy collected his notes and sat up on his stool.

Someone posted awhile ago that Nate Silver said to just ignore early voting and it doesn't mean anything. But yeah I'm guessing olds who have nothing better to do are more likely to vote early.

The House has an unlimited power to investigate the President. They can go with tax evasion, sexual assault, obstruction of justice, perjury, whatever.

I'd bet it skews way older for early voting

Well if Republicans still control both the House and Senate after this election then people have no one to blame but themselves. There are way too many who hate Trump and the GOP. Even voter disenfranchisement shouldn't be enough to overcome that majority. The only thing that can stop it is the apathy of the opposition.

Christ, he's criticizing the cover-up, not their decision to do it.

Nothing like indirectly approving the murdering of journalists to MAGA.

The National Border Patrol Council, the union that represents Border Patrol agents, participates in & endorses a video titled "Killing Free Speech" that features white nationalists

Quote:
The nearly hour-and-half-long video refers to Democrats as “dark and evil” and features a bevy of American and European far-right, anti-Muslim white nationalists who make a correlation between gang rapes, Islam, and immigration. The documentary also features members of the Proud Boys, a hate group designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center, that often aligns with white nationalists and are known for being misogynists and anti-Muslim. The Proud Boys participated in the deadly “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, and in mid-October several members of the Proud Boys were arrested in New York City after a violent street confrontation with anti-fascists.

In a press release, the NBPC describes “Killing Free Speech” as a “powerful spotlight on the terrifying assault on liberty in America today. A country heading down the road toward Orwellian control of information by a small but powerful cabal.” The release also invites viewers of the video to “dissect the daily propaganda used by the mainstream media who will stop at nothing to mislead the public and discredit and demonize those who risk their lives protecting America’s borders.”
